Pretty cool that a guy with "dogshit jiujitsu" can hit an X-guard sweep on a 1st degree blackbelt.
Meh Diaz let him. He didn't care if he ended up on the ground.

Dude white belts have submitted black belts in the UFC multiple times, doesn't mean they aren't poor at BJJ. Same way one KO punch doesn't make you an elite striker, one sweep doesn't prove shit.
Hopefully you've watched enough MMA to know that, I realize you're just a Conor nuthugger and coming to his defense lmao.
Lmao I'd say getting subbed 3-times and wrestle fucked by Chad is a little more evidence than one sweep in a fight where your boy was doing that Jim Carey face at the press conference after getting mounted and choked out easily.
Yeah, Nate just gave up standing on top, in near-mount, and 'let' someone hit an X-guard sweep on him, because hey... guard might be fun.Meh Diaz let him. He didn't care if he ended up on the ground.
Thank you man, he isn't a worldbeater on the ground but he is skilled in defending. That split second timing gator roll out of Mendes fully locked in guillotine showed me he had done his homework. I admit I'm a Conor fan but Im also a realist. Conor mentally cracked in that fight as much as I hate to admit it, but he did. He has many excuses that led to him being on the receiving end of a RNC. Media, opponent change, size, stamina yadda yadda yadda. But Conor like Tyson vs Douglas was a victim of his own hype and quick rise to stardom. At the end of the day fighters are humans too with the same vulnerabilities Conor losing a 10 million dollar payday allegedly because of not wanting to break camp tells me the man is humbled and focused. In my opinion in his next fight we will see a Conor that actually fights to his full potential.Pretty cool that a guy with "dogshit jiujitsu" can hit an X-guard sweep on a 1st degree blackbelt.

Some people just don't know what they're lookin' at.

These aren't training partners, flow-drilling during practice. These are fighters, fighting. Diaz didn't 'let' Conor hit an X-guard sweep on him. Nate would have gladly stayed on top, and taken mount on Conor (as the 2nd round proved). Nate simply reacted to getting swept by at least claiming guard. As a top level BJJ guy he doesn't care if he ends up on top or bottom. He prolly wanted McGregor in his guard. Conor couldn't do much to him in it, he had wrist control whole time.
Just curious. Does it really look like he's trying?Yeah, Nate just gave up standing on top, in near-mount, and 'let' someone hit an X-guard sweep on him, because hey... guard might be fun.

Nate just leaned back and didn't fight it off. was he gonna submit Nate? fuck no. damn that Gracie breakdown has all the huggers clinging to that shit.

The best blackbelts don't lose their cool when their opponents execute a technique, they roll with shit. The Diaz Brothers exemplify this trait, perhaps more than most. Their 'I don't give a fuck' attitude translates well to their Jiujitsu style. (and their Boxing style, for that matter.)Just curious. Does it really look like he's trying?
For a guy who posts only 10 times a year, you can do better than just crying "nuthugger", and then going back in your hole. Please
Petey, you are a such nut hugger it's not even funny anymore.
oh yeah he looks deathly afraid and in panic mode as he was masterfully swept and controlled by an expert BBJ practitioner. he didn't even know what to do. Nate was lost at that moment he was broken. not like he just sit back and slapped Conor a few times as they fell back in slow motion. he hid his fear and panic masterfully this was a life and death situation. we all know Nate has never gotten swept like that.it was scary to watch thank god the bell rang or he would have choked him out.Just curious. Does it really look like he's trying?
Fair enough. I've grappled enough to know when someone is grasping at straws and got lucky. And I'm not even sure he was lucky. He starting eating fists immediately. For a guy who posts only 10 times a year, you can do better than just crying "nuthugger", and then going back in your hole.
I love both fighters. May the best man win, I am truly glad Nate finally became a millionaire. Should have happened a long time ago. If Conor had to lose, I'm glad it was to a Diaz Brother. If Nate wins the rematch too, so be it. That guy is a fucking badass and he has more than paid his dues in MMA. Plus his style is awesome to watch.
War Mrank FirI was licking my chops when I saw this thread but then saw my man petey in it
You're lucky you have excellent taste in other fighters you son of a bitch @Peteyandjia
