I train at a decent gym in the UK. I use a pair of Reyes velcro which are amazing, but i am looking to get a second pair of gloves for pads/bags as i am using my Reyes for everything at the moment.

I really don't want to spend more than 40-50 quid though. I don't want anything amazing, just something that isn't going to fall to bits after a few weeks or bust my hands up. I also do a bit of training for other people as well, mainly novices, so it'd be nice to lend them the pair if they don't have any.

At the moment I'm leaning towards pro box or geezers

Most of the time you get what you pay , except companies with habbit of overpricing. Anyway from your description, I think RDX might suits all your requirements.

Check out UMA on ebay they have free shipping in the UK for some products.

Also sportsdirect have everlast protex 3 for 30£.

Lemarr Boxing also have a sale.

You can pick up a pair of twins for around £50 if your search well. They are complete work horses and will last you a good while.

Sandee is another option to consider. Great product at an extremely reasonable price!

I know it's the gear forum so I should recomend a really expensive pair of gloves to hit the bag with but honestly, I've been using pretty much the same pair of bag gloves for like 3 years now. They are beat to hell but still seem to protect my hands so I keep using them.

I don't think you need anything fancy for bag work unless you want to spend the $$$. Of course nice bag gloves are "nice" but immat a point where I don't think they are a necessity.

Keep in mind too, I don't do ve nuch heavy bag work, mostly pads and sparring.

@ironwolf , what gloves are you referring to? 3 years is impressive.

In general, I've found that after a year or so, the foam breaks down or gets incredibly hard. Never had stitching pop or anything

RDX people learning how to change avatars... I've heard great things about KO fightgear boxing gloves. Nothing flashy at all, but last for a long time. I don't know if they ship to the UK though.

Wait what? You must be mistaken, I have never owned a pair of RDX in my life. Beside I am more like a Venum fan, own tons of their stuff.

I am not even saying RDX stuff are good, but it is a fact that it ticks all OP's boxes.

I never had any RDX, but I was just being fair, in my eyes they are nothing amazing, cheap and base in UK. Also know they had gloves really cheap made in leather, so..that's that.

I even said "you get what you pay for most of the time" If OP wants something great quality or have a higher budget, I surely wouldn't suggest RDX at all.

And we don't have KO gear in the UK.

Just a pair of fairtex bgv9s.

Second this, got a pair of red ones that will not die.....actually had them for about 5 years+, not heavy used but enough.

The padding in the Mexican heavy hitter is very dense and compact.

I have red ones too, about ~ 2.5-3 years old. I don't use them as much now as I did since I have some top boxers and winnings but they are basically still in my rotation for strict heavy bag workouts.

Now priced at £54.99 shippied to the UK, we're confident in saying you will NOT get a better pair of gloves for £50 :)

Any reviews of these up yet?

ive got a couple on my site http://www.recoilsports.co.uk/our-reviews.html , I'm waiting for reviews from fightquality.com and csquarwedboxing on youtube and a few pro fighters but they are all too busy!

The gloves are made by UMA so for reviews on the quality you can check their thread on here!

Thanks Ben
