I mean, generally i like most of the Veyron, optically, just the front head lights... they're looking almost exactly like those here:Yeah, the Veyron is probably the most overrated car of the 21st century. It's an interesting engineering exercise that failed to mate its engine to an appropriately impressive body like the Bugattis of old.
But look how HUGE the Bugatti 41 was.

Now that's true flagship presence.
The AMG One is absolutely sexy but it feels like it's been forever since it was announced and still not released. Doubt I'd ever see one in person anyway with only 275 planned total.

I mean, the A6 looks fine to me, but two oval headlights or something instead of those A6-like headlikes surely wouldn't have hurt the Veyron's optics.
Contrary to you, i found the rear of the Veyron good as well, i have to admit!
But still: the Chiron does everything way better.
Here are the pictures by the way:

That engine is so massive i can tell you, it's incredible in person.
View attachment 746381 This is the Chiron that set the record for accelerating doing 0-400-0 kph in as few time as possible, needing 42 seconds for it.View attachment 746385 View attachment 746387
The AMG One is also gorgeous, especially in person; as always, pictures also don't do justice on how flat and wide these cars are, especiallly the AMG.
They really need long as f*ck for it, which was mainly due to trouble with getting its emissions down, since the engine idles at a rather high rpm-number, as far as i know, so they had trouble managing that.
Since then, AMG still has news every few months about the car, there's a video on youtube where the future owners of it see it getting tested as well, if you're interested in it:
Looks damn fast at the beginning, where you see it drive. There's also a couple of seconds footage at the end where the AMG GT black series is getting tested.
Well suppose you have 4 million dollars to spend on a car. Would you entertain the slightest possibility of throwing it away on this:I'm no gearhead...
Farthest from actually, but this an "Elbows to pointy, would not bang" thread if I have ever seen one.
Yeah, i totally agree.Yeah, it suffers from the bubbliness that afflicted cars from that era- the entire VAG lineup had it at the time. But what works on a GTI or TT doesn't translate to a million dollar hypercar.

The Chiron really did improve it visually in every way. It went from a dorky bubblebutt to this sexy rear-

Thanks for those engine pics. It really was a monumental engineering achievement. The perfect trophy to commemorate Ferdinand Piech's life. Also marks the end of another era- the arms race between combustion engine manufacturers. Everything will shrink and electrify from here.
Example a) is the Veyron's standard grill, where b) and c) have two seperate grills, making for a better optic (in my opinion)

Which ones exactly do you mean? The really extreme ones like the Veneno or already those like the Aventador?I've never liked those wedge-shaped supercars myself. They always look very dated imo.

I think it's a cool looking car, mostly.![]()
I respect it's performance and it's a hell of a bargain but just look at it
Ugly from every angle and attracts every cringy 17-21 year old male like flies to shit.

Ha, excellent presentation, I can't unsee it now.The single frame grill that the veyron has, is very small, especially in regards to its width - the one of the C6 A6 spreads wide, is high, and - which is also important, still, even without the number plate, has some separation between the upper and the lower part, making it still look like the TT (or most other audis of that time) in this regard, which have a central upper grill between the headlights and one central grill below the number plate/the place for the plate in the EU and the other grill.
Now with the combination of the Bugatti's slim and small single frame grill and the headlights, the "face" of the car looks kind of sad. Whereas the upper line of the C6 A6s headlights is still straight, the Veyron's headlights drop off outwards, givin the car a "sad" look. Together with the single frame grill, this makes the car almost look a bit like some sad kind of ghost:

Another factor which can make a car look either "civil" and elegant or "aggressive", is the angle of the upper grill between the headlights.
examples for this are the following:

Lastly, the angle of the lower grill is also important to the looks:

#1 looks more docile and #2 looks more savage.
Enter Koenigsegg. I'm not a huge fan of the Gemera looks, but THAT is monumental engineering. I feel like these guys don't get the credit they deserve for their engineering efforts. Every car they build is something truely special engineering wise. If you're a geek, here's some reading/watch for you;

Not a supercar, and neither is a Vette, M5 or a 911.![]()

Nice video - it's really kinda simple and reasonable that designs got so aggressive, although i agree that i don't like many either.Ha, excellent presentation, I can't unsee it now.
As for angry headlights, have you seen RCR's musing on it? It's a long soliloquy, but it exposes the psychology behind why cars now all wear an angry face.
The facelifted version looks fine as well, but the original one will always be my favourite, in terms of looks. Especially in this color, the metallic orange and the dark teakbrown metallic. F*ck. Has aged incredibly well also, if you ask me.
Good call on the Mitsouka- not only is it ugly, it's downright grotesque- physically triggers uncomfortable repulsion.Nice video - it's really kinda simple and reasonable that designs got so aggressive, although i agree that i don't like many either.
I think many of the new Audi's look quite ugly...![]()
This current/new RS7 is just too much for me. It looks like it has angles and edges just for the sake of having angles and edges.
Compare it to the ~2015 RS7:
![]()
This looks like a coherent design to me. It has edges and angles, but they do not stand in contrast to the smooth and round surfaces that the car has, it just works very well together.
My favourite Audi ever will be the first generation R8 though:

As for ugly supercars:

Mitsuoka Orochi,
Looks like someone merged wax-made versions of a Jaguar XJ 220 with a Jaguar X300 and left the outcome too close to the chimney.
![]()
Weber Faster One,
I don't even know what to say. it looks like someone fused some wavy steel sheets together and put headlights and wheels on it.
I seriously think this could take the crown for being the ugliest car on the thread.
Paganis are achingly beautiful. They allow endless customization, so if it ends up garish (and some do), the onus is on the owner who ordered that spec.

I think their biggest fault is using that prominent digital screen on the center console. Million dollar cars should avoid that because it ends up becoming dated within a generation- just look at the infotainment of top spec luxury cars from the early 2000s. Here's a 2003 Bentley's interior as an example:
![]()
Bugattis wisely avoid this by foregoing screens so the cars can still drip with a luxurious high end aura decades from now.
![]()
All of the infotainment from current cars will look terribly cheesy in a few years.
Super car but not a supercar I agreeHa, excellent presentation, I can't unsee it now.

The Jesko is insane. This just after releasing the Regera with its mindblowing single gear transmission. No suppliers can provide what he needs so he has to engineer it himself.
Not a supercar, and neither is a Vette, M5 or a 911.
