Something just felt bad about that fight to me. I think Tumenov is just one of those guys who can look great in victories, and that can lead us to overrate him. We had a glimpse of how he can look against Musoke and Alcantara. This fight confirmed that. A threat of a takedown can shut down a lot of his striking.

I understand the thought process, but going in I was thinking that Nelson isn't bad on his feet and is an elite grappler. Tumenov hadn't fought a guy with this similar a style in 5 or so years and he got wrestle f*cked. Thought Nelson should have been the favourite tbh.

Yeah he actually kind of looked like a bigger McGregor in a way. The way he was striking and moving. Obviously slower.
