UFN 107 pbp/discussion

Luque cost me pretty big, but ended up winning +$200.

And the event ending at 12 pm is perfect for me, wish it was their standard time. :)

pickett / vera scorecard two judges had it 20-18 and one judge 19-19. learning that hurts me even more. it just hurts so so so so so so so badly. could have been/would have been... i wanna cry

Congrats guys who won!

up 21u at the moment. Have a RR thats perfect right now with o1.5 Jordan/Blagoi and o4.5 Harrison/Palmer as the closers. Would win me another 30u if both hit

I feel myself like a cuck. this event wasnt difficult to predict... fucking PICKETTTTTTTT!!!!! i think i break evened but gonna count the numbers in a moment

OOOOOOO that looks good to me amigo

AC in between this event and UFC 210? Lol

Check out my only expert pick breakdown, it was 100% accurate yet most ignored, free money and folks said, "No, D'evils, I don't want it."

Maybe next time I decide to bless yall, you'll just say, "Thank you my King, the Great One's generosity is wasted on us" and I'll simply say, "You're welcome my child."

Decided to pay it forward and bless yall with my notes on Manuwa Anderson.(I do them in caps)

ANDERSON WILL ATTEMPT TO KEEP DISTANCE, USE A LOT OF MOVEMENT, THROW KICKS, THROW STRAIGHT PUNCHES TO SET UP THE TAKEDOWN, TIME A TAKEDOWN AS MANUWA ATTACKS AND GET MANUWA TIRED. THIS COULD LEAD TO ANDERSON KEEPING HIS BACK TO THE CAGE AND GETTING CORNERED THEN KO.

MANUWA SAYS HE KNOWS ANDERSONS GAMEPLAN IS TO GRAPPLE, SAYS HE IS PREPARED FOR THAT AND WILL LOOK FOR SINGLE STRIKES. OBVIOUSLY SINGLE STRIKES COULD BE MORE THAN ENOUGH CONSIDERING ANDERSONS CHIN AND MANUWAS POWER BUT THE LARGER POINT IS ANDERSON WILL BE LESS ABLE TO USE MANUWAS STRIKES TO GET A TAKEDOWN. MANUWA HAS A GOOD SPRAWL, GOOD TDD AGAINST THE CAGE, HAS USED A WHIZZER(USES KNEES IN THIS POSITION), CONTROLS DISTANCE WELL, GETS UP QUICKLY AND HAS A GUILLOTINE HE PROBABLY USES TOO LIBERALLY.

AS FOR ANDERSONS LEG KICKS, IF HE THROWS NAKED(WHICH IS ALL HE CAN DO), HE'LL LEAVE A FREE OPENING WERE MANUWA CAN FORGET ABOUT THE TAKEDOWN AND SWING HARD ON THE COUNTER.

MANUWAS GOING TO STAY AT DISTANCE CONSTANTLY BUT BE THE ONE MOVING FORWARD. HE USES REACH WELL, MIXES THE SPEED AND TIMING OF HIS PUNCHES. STRONG BODY PUNCHES. HE HAS FAST, POWERFUL LEG AND BODY KICKS BUT I'M NOT SURE HE USES THEM OFTEN, I'M THINKING IT DEPENDS HOW SUCCESSFUL ANDERSON IS GETTING TAKEDOWNS.

MANUWA SAYS HIS COACH PUT HIM THROUGH HELL GETTING HIS CARDIO RIGHT. HES YOUNG IN FIGHT YEARS BUT OLD FOR THE FIGHT GAME CHRONOLOGICALLY, AT 37 HIS CARDIO WONT KEEP PACE WITH A MUCH YOUNGER MAN THAT PUT IN THE SAME AMOUNT OF MILES. ANOTHER VIEW CAN BE TAKEN WHEN YOU CONSIDER ANDERSON EXPECTS TO ALREADY HAVE THE CARDIO ADVANTAGE, MANUWA IS INCREASING HIS GAS TANK PREPARING FOR A TAXING FIGHT, ANDERSONS CONSTANT MOVEMENT PLAN, ANDERSONS GRAPPLE HEAVY PLAN, POSSIBLE BODY WORK OF MANUWA, MANUWAS CALM CONFIDENCE AND FINALLY, THAT HEART POUNDING FEAR ANDERSON WILL FEEL FROM KNOWING HE CAN BE OUT COLD AT ANY GIVEN MOMENT.

OTHER THINGS I NOTICED WATCHING TAPE:

MANUWA NOT ONLY SURVIVED BUT GOT UP FROM UNDER GUS AND RUMBLE, EVEN WITH RUMBLE ON HIS BACK.
MANUWA HAS GOOD TIMING, STRIKING DEFENSE, TD AND BAD OFFENSIVE WRESTLING.
OCONNEL BRIEFLY HAD ANDERSON CORNERED AGAINST THE CAGE I THINK EARLY RD 1 AND I JUST THOUGHT MANUWA WOULD HAVE HURT HIM THERE.
ANDERSON CAN GET TAKEDOWNS, MOSTLY WITH PERSISTENCE BUT IS TERRIBLE POSITIONALLY. A PASS ATTEMPT WILL LEAD TO MANUWA GETTING UP.
I DONT THINK ANDERSONS TAKEDOWNS ARE GOOD BUT NOT JUST BECAUSE HE STRUGGLED TAKING DOWN SHOGUN IN RD 3

OTHER THOUGHTS:

THINK ANDERSONS WRESTLING IS A SAFE SPACE, LIKE A CRUTCH HE THINKS ITS ALWAYS THERE AND IT HOLDS BACK HIS PROGRESSION
ANDERSON KID MENTALITY, "'MY COACH SAY THIS ISNT A BIG DICK CONTEST", WILL BE HARD FOR HIM TO THINK ON THE FLY, FOR HIMSELF, MAY CRUMBLE.
ANDERSON WILL STALL TO WIN, THE W IS MOST IMPORTANT AND HE WONT TAKE RISKS. HE'LL TAKE A FINISH IF ITS SERVED UP BUT WON'T HUNT FOR IT.
HE CLAIMS HES LOOKING FOR A FINISH HERE BUT DONT BELIEVE HIS LIES

THINKING MANUWA ITD RD 1 OR 2. IF ANDERSON WINS IT WILL BE BY DECISION. GOING TO REWATCH SOME FIGHTS AND REREAD MY NOTES BUT ALREADY GOT A GOOD BIT ON MANUWA.

I can't get the fight of my head. Makes me wish I wouldn't even gamble sometimes. Those are tough to swallow. Fucking volatility.

Fuckk some celebration def needs to be had, this would be by far my biggest day ever if those two lines hit. Hit a rub and tug last night, maybe a sex spa tomorrow and AC or somewhere else where I can wet my beak somewhere in those weeks

The over for Jordan/Ivanov is my last remaining bet for the weekend. Think the odds are pretty good of it hitting, better than either guy's ML imo. Finger crossed!

I LOVE the odds for it. Considering making a single bet despite the RR. Both guys very tough plus clinching could very be had here

So 2.2 units down. Brad Pickett burnt us pretty good tonight.

It's all obvious in hindsight but I do feel a bit of a prick going big on a 38-year-old hittable veteran with a shot chin. I didn't like the bet as soon as I placed it and I never felt comfortable throughout the fight despite him being a couple of rounds up (no access to lb tonight so couldn't hedge when Vera was +400-odd).

You live and you learn.
