I get ya but look at who he has fought. He has had a murderers row - Cariaso, DJ, Dodson, Ortiz, Scoggins, JB. Damn that's a hard schedule.

Hes def had the harder fights but even against guys like Willie Gates I am not very impressed. And then the Nicolau fight was embarassing. If Pettis keeps Moraga at the same range Nicolau did, hard to see Moraga not getting kicked up. Even think Pettis can prob score tds.

In a fight where one guy is on the way up, the other seemingly on the way down, hard to back the guy on the way down.

He goes for takedowns and ends up getting out scrambled, he got floored by Hobar, Caceres and Benoit, and im sure he has improved but man his performance against Meza of all people stunk. Meza, Hobar, Cariaso were all able to get him down too. Moraga's div 1 wrestling seems pretty shoddy but it's difficult to employ it against Dodson, JB, etc. So maybe he will mix it up like he did against Gates who knows. Defo a live bet fight for me tho.

I think sergio wins by dec only. i think moraga could ko, sub or win by decision. benoit ko'd him with a left hook and moraga loves throwing his left hook albeit he is a bit wild with his hands.

I def think Pettis is looking more and more disciplined. You have to expect that when hes 23 and clearly a very solid prospect. Just my opinion, but i'm not putting stock into his fight with Meza other than as an example of his growth. He fought safe as fuck after a dumb decision cost him vs Caceres in the fight before that. Surprised you aren't breaking your no props rule and at least stabbing Moraga dec if you like him here, was close to +300 last I checked. Damn good price for a dog FLW

Also, you sure his division 1? Know he was an all american but have a real hard time seeing him as d1 when Scoggins took him down with ease over and over

I really doubt he was division 1 but no matter what division he was in, the college he went to is a perennial top school for wrestling. So its kind of surprising his wrestling consistently doesn't look very good in fights lol

Love tony martin right here. he was submitted by two bjj wizards leo santos and beneil dariush.. no shame in that. his fight with rashid mago was very competitive as well and he looked good there. good heart and toughness. martin would have more wins by now be he has been unlucky with the fights he has been given (all great prospects) no gimme fights. i think that despite beating lobov (who looked to be in really bad shape in that fight and looked way smaller than white) he still falls into that brian camozzi category. i think it will be a pickem fight but i lean towards martin to get the job done.

Picking Martin is a little worriesome cardio-wise, both in the Dariush fight and the Santos fight he gassed really hard at the end of the round one/beginning of round two and lost because of that imo. In his last fight against Olivieri his cardio was clearly improved though

Cause his wrestling has been less than impressive in MMA and division one is the highest level of collegiate wrestling. I can't find any info regarding what division he wrestled in, but being an all American is obviously less impressive in lesser divisions. Still good to know and a great accomplishment

Yeah wiki, ufc.com, etc it says All American. On wiki it clarifies a bit referencing All American for the Sun Devils, missed that. Good find with these. Wasn't a d1 starter til his final year and went 24-20, makes much more sense. No D1 All American will ever get out wrestled by Scoggins
