Hedged 2.5u mendes +140 so ended up with a little profit at least
I'm not 100% sure Arizona is using the new rules yet. Some states aren't using them, like New Jersey.Yeah, especially with the new judging criteria.
I had basically no action after rd 2 where I took Mendes +165. I really didn't care who won at that point. I think the right guy won, but it was super close.
Oh didn't think about this. Does anyone know?I'm not 100% sure Arizona is using the new rules yet. Some states aren't using them, like New Jersey.
Nina Ansaroff should've gotten at least 30-26 in her fight, not 30-27. One of those rounds was a clear beat down.
How did Mendes stun Saenz so many times with that striking technique. It baffles me that Saenz didn't shoot for double leg in the middle of the octagon

Guess judges liking take downs still lol
On klose but 2 unknowns with ufc debuts so always a nightmare
Mendes' last win is over a guy with a 5-5 record. He's been grappling his whole life, and he's now 33. Saenz isn't a world beater, but he's competing at a much higher level of MMA. You can't significantly improve your striking at his age in one year with no prior experience, and if you think you can you obviously haven't ever trained.
There is levels to this and you can't just instantly go from a 5-5 bum to someone who did well against a top 10 guy in Faber just a year ago.
If you're betting on Mendes, you should be hoping he can somehow take a D1 wrestler down and fight to his strengths (which is possible and why I'm not betting Saenz at a crappy price)
