This is boring now. I think Knight is good value. Hooker is overrated and a good matchup for Knight based on the tape I've watched. If anyone wants to have a respectful discussion without children arguing and making nonsensical points in-between, just PM me. Peace.

Bet against fat Joe. You'll always make money long term.

After watching the video interview of Hooker that card posted and some training vids of Tiger Muay Thai I feel good about my Hooker bets. Hooker is saying the right things in his interview and has clearly put in the time at Tiger.

Everyone says the right things in interviews. Eddie said he'd run through McGregor. What matters is what goes down in the cage.

To be play devil's advocate for Knight regarding training camp discussions, i'm not sure how long hes been with Alan Belcher? But jesus his striking is getting molded just like him. His kick game in his last fight was definitely Belcher-esque and the improvements hes made in that area lead me to believe Alan knows what hes doing with teaching

Pretty sure since day 1. 10 years most BJJ though IIRC.

Really don't understand the people confident in Hooker.

Since Hooker's move to Tiger Muay Thai, his striking and cardio has improved significantly. He never put in what I would call real camps with lots of ufc guys and he has that now. I am really impressed with what I have seen from him since Tiger.

I would put very little into what athletes say in interviews, they are all liars and they pretty much have to be, no one wants to show any weakness prior to an event. Look at Manny Gamburyran, in his interview with MMAjunkie before his fight last weekend he was saying all this positive crap about how good he feels and then he gets rekt and says he has to retire cause his body isn't holding up.

He was actually at Team Elevation for his last fight IIRC

Quick Primer for this card:

I'm pretty set on Brunson beating Whittaker. Enough for me to want to catch a quick 1 hour flight to Vegas just to drop some on him. The price is fair. I think he's a player at MW. Confidence level 8-10, Value 7-10, if evens I'll rate the value 9-10.

I'm going to play him with the girls to go o2.5 and maybe something else for +returns

I'll throw some on old man Kelly to beat Camozzi too but I feel it'll be a split somehow for either guy. The o1.5 will probably be safer.

My friends and I are pretty pessimistic about Asian fighters these fools couldn't even buy a win if they tried but I MAY just go ahead and bet Nguyen because he's a dog and I think his BJJ is pretty solid. Expecting a big letdown though so that I won't have to be surprised.

Definitely would play Omari but at a cheaper price, his downfall is that he's a front runner we all know this.

I'm a Matthews fader only cuz his price is always high but Holbrook isn't that good. Some pocket change I'll throw on Holbrook by submission.

Knight's been with Belcher since he was 6-0 as an amateur according to this article so they do have a very close connection.

How do you know this when his last 2 fights were a guillotine finish one minute in and a loss to Yair?

I am not watching interviews to hear them say they will win by KO etc. Of course everyone says stuff like that. I am more interested in their evolution as a fighter. Hooker talks about how he has moved from being willing to take a punch to give a punch...that is clearly a good thing. He has evolved from being a brawler to wanting to be more of a smooth technical striker. He also mentions his hobby is watching fights and breaking down fights...very good news and this is really important in building fight IQ.

Isn't it a hassle to get on a plane and fly somewhere to make bets, especially since brick & mortar sportsbooks in Las Vegas don't usually offer the best prices nor a full suite of props? I personally like wagering from the comfort and convenience of my own home. Do you just like visiting and enjoying Vegas that much?

One of the best cappers in the game, I suggest you pay attention

Gamblou thinks Knight will win and has value 15:40 to 16:55). RIP Hooker backers, it's all over.

In all seriousness my man Gamblou is spot on in that vid. He's right about Hooker vs Knight. He also said he's watching Kelly closely and might play him, thinks he can get it to the floor or make it ugly enough to win which I agree with as well.

I watched him train in person at Tiger. He looks a lot better with his striking. I can't say that will definitely make him a better mama fighter but after working with kru muays everyday I think his striking has improved. He also seems to have better wrestling training under Hickman.

I like Hooker in this fight but I am admittedly a little bias towards guys who come to Tiger. They generally win me a lot of money off of their improvement.

Not trying to sound like a dick (promise) but we'll see if he's improved in real fights. I bet Uriah Hall is a beast in the gym.
