Nate saying 'Conor or vacation' is really an open door for Conor to be in without him loosing as much face ,pretty much forcing the issue.

I would think Nate would fight anyone for the same purse and not give a damn.


The more it feels like the retirement,tantrum,empty chair,the whole shebang is preplanned BS to drive a social media frenzy .

If it was a Wwe style set up and Dana,Conor,Nate and various others in the industry are also know it eg Rogan.
With a view to Conor being the anti Hero like a wrestling villian,nuthuggers worship more ,haters hate more.
Lets face it this is splitting views and creating a lot of interest.

If it came to light it is all a load of bollocks and preplanned hype ,would you be pissed off or glad of the entertainment?

i think its uneeded and makes MMA more like WWE which in turn removes credability and ruins it for the fighters and fans

I agree that Diaz will fight someone else for the same purse, but who is there? There's no build up with anyone else - of course he's leaving the door open by saying it's Conor or no one else. But Dana pissed on that idea by saying it's either Aldo or Edgar next for Conor.

I don't get the sense that Conor is being the anti hero or fighting the establishment - he made a request to cut down on media and it spilled out in public. It works both ways; if the UFC allowed Conor to miss the media obligations, the writers would ask why is he getting preferential treatment.

The fighters who changed stance and said they had no problem with Conor not showing up are saying it for their own benefit - as most fighters don't like doing media - especially the week of the fight when they're cutting weight.

I don't think there's anything pre-planned about this and I don't see this fight going ahead, but if it did, it's just a case of the UFC not getting whatever other fight they're planning to replace it with happening.
