Arlovski was champ. Aleksei Oleinik is probably not going to be but is still KOing wrestlers and submitting strikers in an unexpected fashion. Fyodor obviously remains GOAT. These things often move in waves one country or region dominates a sport for a while before being supplanted by another. Obviously Brazil dominated early MMA before the USA-led wave we are currently in. We've already seen HW boxing, dominated for a long time by black American fighters, be taken over by former Soviet boxers and now it's the UK that's leading the way. With its huge manpower, resources and tough background could we be on the brink of a hostile Eurasian takeover in MMA?
