News UFC veteran terminated by AEW

Yes. Give him Poatan @ 185 for a warm up fight before his Mickey Gall rematch.

The guy does seem like he loves MMA and is fanous, they could probably do some sort of sponsorship deal with him.

In terms of him actually fighting again, hell no.

CM Punk was dramatically fired yesterday from WWE competitor AEW after just over 2 years.

CM Punk made his name in the WWE winning the WWE Championship twice, the World Heavyweight Championship three times becoming a household name and one of the biggest names in the sport.

He then successfully made the jump over to UFC defeating Mickey Gall via 1st round submission and starring on the cover the UFC 3 video game.

CM Punk then decided to move to AEW where he became two-time AEW World Champion.

However after selling out Wembley Stadium just last week for AEW All Out, the largest paid wrestling attendance event in history (81,000 people) he was dramatically fired from AEW after getting into a back stage brawl.

Where does this leave CM Punk now? Will he go back to the UFC or WWE? It seems he could do either and make waves across whichever promotion he chooses next.

Imagine that your method of a TD is to essentially pull guard in the most technically-idiotic method possible and then you are soundly outgrappled by Mike Jackson on the ground after you pull guard against him.

Oops, I mean I'm not doing it right. "Good on the multi-millionaire for trying to fight. Has more guts than me, the non-multi-millionaire, who didn't fight in the UFC. Don't pay attention to the fact that I didn't get a multi-UFC fight contract because I'm not a multi-millionaire... just focus on the fact that CM Punk got a bullshit undeserved contract to begin with and somehow celebrate him for it rather than critique the BS system for it."
At least you're not butthurt about it or anything.

Whether he started this altercation or not. Phil always seems to be a common denominator. You gotta let someone go when it's getting this bad, only makes sense to tell the guy who's had the most issues with the locker room to take a walk. Truthfully people should have seen this coming. Phil has one of the biggest chip on shoulder syndromes the business has ever seen. Even if he's making good points he does it in the most stand offish and condescending ways possible.

Dunno why he gets as much hate as he does on here; the dude actually stepped into the octagon not once, but twice. He wasn't very good, but he's more of a man than many of us will ever be for that, alone, lol lmao.

And more than likely, he beat the dogshit out of the fake wrestler. The proof is in the fact that only Punk was fired, not the other guy.

war punk

How pathetic are these AEW schmucks that CM Punk of all people can bully them? <Lmaoo>

To be honest, I think the fact that Punk embarassed himself so badly in UFC has made the other wrestlers forget that they probably have trained even less for real fighting - especially dudes from the school of "lets' fall from somewhere high on a pile of glass and barbed wire" and think they themselves are nearer UFC caliber and end up front headlocked by Punk - of all people.

As the smarter people than me say: there's levels to this. Even when one gets infinitely close to 0.

Can't even put some smarmy prick who says "What are you gonna do about it?!" in a front-facelock anymore. What a world...
<JerryWWF>

Oh well, at least the Balding Bucks and their faithful lapdogs Uncle Dave and Bryan Alvarez can all have a party now.
i dont like cmpunk or the young fucks, but i agree overall with this post. a wrestler fired over front face locking another one during an argument seems overboard

give me half a mil i will put over sean omalley or volkanovski in the first round without issuse. yes ill take a real one, dont care if its a knee, kick punch or elbow.

CM Punk vs Joe Rogan at UFC 300.

In all honesty, I'll be happy if I don't hear about this guy getting involved in MMA anymore. Let him stick to pro wrestling.

Conor texting Dana right now

*So wrestling gets “real” and bro gets fired, and The Late Luke Perry’s son to boot, is a wrestler!?

crazy world out there

Just googled it out of morbid curiosity. The kid he got in an altercation with is BILLED at 5'10 167 pounds, so hes probably 5'8 150 soaking wet, lmao. CM Punk is so tough.

Lol look at this cute lil guy, even dresses like a wood elf.
