News UFC veteran terminated by AEW

Former WWE superstar and UFC fighter Phil Brooks, more commonly known as CM Punk, has been fired from All Elite Wrestling (AEW).

Brooks was recently following an incident that occurred during AEW’s “All In” pay-per-view show last Sunday at Wembley Stadium in London, England.

Punk and fellow AEW wrestler Jack Perry, the son of late actor Luke Perry, reportedly got into a physical altercation backstage during the pay-per-view event.

AEW’s statement, which was issued on X (formerly Twitter) said Punk’s wrestling and employment contracts have both been terminated.

Is this a rhetorical question?

Is this real or they just trying to make hype?

Imagine punk got beat up pretty bad

Imagine that your method of a TD is to essentially pull guard in the most technically-idiotic method possible and then you are soundly outgrappled by Mike Jackson on the ground after you pull guard against him.

Oops, I mean I'm not doing it right. "Good on the multi-millionaire for trying to fight. Has more guts than me, the non-multi-millionaire, who didn't fight in the UFC. Don't pay attention to the fact that I didn't get a multi-UFC fight contract because I'm not a multi-millionaire... just focus on the fact that CM Punk got a bullshit undeserved contract to begin with and somehow celebrate him for it rather than critique the BS system for it."

CM Punk got bamboozled by Dana. He likely wanted to try MMA like Batista did in a small org and then Dana inexplicably gave him an offer.

He may be 0-1-1 in UFC fights, but he's undefeated in AEW backstage fights. I think he's ready for an MMA return.

Yeah I'm not necessarily blaming the dude for taking a BS undeserved contract. I hinted that I would too. I'm blaming the system for offering BS undeserved contracts based on name recognition to millionaires, thereby cheapening all UFC contracts in the process for all the non-millionaire dudes in the gym right now who will never get a contract.

I'm afraid he'd still lose, but he'd have to be matched up with a low tier wmma fighter. I still can't believe he thought he could actually fight, the dude never played one lick of sports. All that pretend fighting really went to his head. Lol

Punk has always been a dick, but I believe his brief period of mma training convinced himself he could at least beat up the average untrained person and now he has a chip on his shoulder.

The person he got into a shuffle with looks like he could cut to 145 by the next ufc event. But to answer the actual question, no sir I don't want him back.
