News UFC Vegas 31 numbers are in, ISLAM IS A STAR!!!

tony fought Gaethje when he didnt have to, at the beginning of the pandemic when Kbob pulled out and blamed it on Covid. later fighting Oliveira and Dariush all 3 within a year

I agree with what you're saying except Khabib didn't pull out. The whole event was cancelled and moved to a date where Khabib and Islam couldn't travel...so their bouts with Tony and Hernandez couldn't happen.

Good on Tony for giving an entertaining main event but UFC is not doing him any favors by ranking him at 6. He needs to retire or fight someone unranked to get back in the W column. And I'm a fan of Tony.

Edit: I removed "Tony" from my earlier post of examples or Divas.

I'll tell you why, Muslims are about a third of the earth.

Bunch of them here on Sherdog quick to nut hug Khabib, and any other Muslim fighter who has a chaev or mago sound in their name.
You’re not totally wrong, either way though that’s a huge asset for these Caucasus fighters.

I bet you half of those viewers will not be tuning in for his next fight.

While he dominated the fight, and did what he had to get the sub in the end...there wasn't much action, very little punches thrown on the ground... it was a little boring, tbh.

mannn did you even watch the fight lmao?

and i can bet you there will be even more people watching islam's next fight because he's now ranked in the top 5 and he gained even more fans after his win (mostly Muslim followers).

I've re-watched Islam vs Moises multiple times. I'm going to celebrate by watching it again now.
Is it your favourite Islam fight?

I've looked at pictures of him with horses multiple times and still can't decide on my favourite, might be this one.

The dominating win is the most important facet. Contrary to what we do see in contemporary combat sports, people are still infatuated with seeing the best compete.

At 3M + social media follows Islam already has one of the highest social media footprints in the UFC and he hasn’t even been in a high profile PPV fight yet. By contrast Jorge Masvidal has 3M, Max Holloway only has 2.6M, Dustin Poirier who was blessed thrice over by Conor only has a smidge above Islam with 3.6M followers.

Just wait until Islam headlines a PPV card title fight. He’ll blow up, the Conor ball lickers will absolutely lose their shit @Ackmed

My dad is a casual and he loved it. He called me and said "that russian is really good.. the other guy could not do anything".
He also always tune in to see Adesanya and Usman.

Casuals are all about dominant fighters and Islam has been dominant so far (he hasn't fought the best tho).

I feel like this maybe more due to Miesian Tate’s return than anything

Most of Islam’s fanbase is overseas. I don’t think they get counted in traditional ratings

I will tune in just to hear Javier Mendez say majic words "Papa's fucking Plan! you hear me?!"
