UFC/USADA Testing Numbers and Summaries (Updated 4th October)

Mostly its because they have fights scheduled. On the whole, the ones tested the most are the ones that have fought more or are higher profile. So Rousey (Fought twice), McGregor, Aldo (High Profile fight)
Theres also instances like Holm tested heavily since winning the title which is common in sport. Win a big title, get tested more afterwards.

But there are cases where a fighter could well be being targetted.

Ronda fought 3 times in 2015, not 2 times.

Great information. If I could just make a suggestion.

Next time you take screen grabs turn off the red "spell check" underlines.

Great work @dimspace
the BJ suspension says it begins in 2014 btw. Also, Emil Meek is on the roster? Since when?

ah, cheers, missed that.. :D

The Nevada Athletic Commission (NAC) sentenced UFC lightweight Carlos Diego Ferreira to a 12-month suspension on Tuesday stemming from a positive drug test for the banned substance Ostarine ahead of his planned UFC Fight Night 88 bout against Abel Trujillo. The suspension is retroactive to April 30.

Ferreira, 31, tested positive for Ostarine in an out-of-competition drug test conducted by USADA. He was subsequently pulled from his fight against Trujillo. Ostarine is defined within the class of SARMS (selective androgen receptor modulators), which often carry many of the same benefits as anabolic steroids.

It was mentioned in the other thread, but this is just NAC suspending him, he's also still subject to whatever USADA hands him. It'll be a while before that comes down though.

@LUDELOW @Pacemaker Joe

Got to say, not too keen on how Nevada have dealt with this one, but its fair to say the fighter could have done with some advice as well.

By all accounts he turned up at the hearing, had no representation and spoke very ilttle english. Was pretty confused when the panel were quizzing him on USADA protocol. Apparently hes said hes sent all his supplements to USADA for testing etc.

What I dont understand, is if that is the case, why he didnt get advice telling him to request adjournment (either from his management or from Jeff Notitzky), and failing that, Nevada should have suggested to him that it be adjourned until USADA had completed their investigation

(unless usada have already completed that investigation and notified nevada)

I don't know how you keep up will all this, dude :D
Great job though.

What do the colored numbers mean?

Edit:

Never mind. It says...lol

Moroz & Leites are the only fighters to have 0... Kennedy hasn't fought but has 5...haha.

Weird that DJ is the least tested champ.

Thiago Alves hasnt fought in over a year and has ten :D

Oh, USADA updated today on their regular wednesday, but since they updated Monday theres barely any data.

(They had technical issues last week which is why the update was late, not sure why they didnt just skip it and run a double-up)

So anyway...

Week (whatever it is) 22nd June

Athletes tested: 6

Colby Covington 1
Rory MacDonald 1
Jonathan Meunier 1
Jason Saggo 1
Leandro "Buscape" Silva 1
Stephen Thompson 1

Thats basically 21st June tests

Because theres no update this week, some bonus graphage.....

Average number of samples per athlete, comparing ranked (top 15 and champs) versus unranked fighters (in grey)

Obviously, ranked fighters are tested more, not hard to know that anyway...

And then ranked fighters broken down into all ranked fighters, top 10, and top 5....

Now none of this is rocket science, an idiot could tell you without looking at numbers, top guys tested more, bottom guys tested less...

But it is nice when a graph can so beautifully and perfectly illustrate the process without it even being in question, i like stuff that proves things beyond doubt.

its also interesting to be able to visualise exactly what their strategy so easily

Says 0 fights next to Lima and Penne shouldn't they each have 1. Also 2 next to Aguilar shouldn't it be 0.

your watermark @dimpace is missing an 's' or is it an illuminati plot and confirmation you and pacemaker joe are the same person
