UFC tickets are basically no longer affordable

Garcia vs Davis tickets are hands down the most expensive combat sports event tickets I’ve ever seen

the absolute worst seats in the house are $1005.00 USD

LMAO first post nailed it.

i wanted to try to go to the 288 show in Newark and tickets at MINIMUM were 1000$. for fuckin nosebleeds. guess i will never go to a UFC event in person.

Has anyone else ran into this issue lately, I used to love going to in person events even if it meant sitting in the nose bleeds but as of late I've noticed after taxes fees etc most of these ufc events are a $1000.00 plus to get into where areas just a year ago I could manage to get into quite a few for just a 100 or 2. Maybe it's just me but this just seems baffling to me that they're filling these arenas at these ridiculous prices. The cheapest price to get into ufc 287 for instance right now after taxes/fees ends up coming up to roughly $1300.00.

In the past 10 years I've attended 4 live PPV shows with friends. During 2 of those shows the UFC claimed it was sold out even though we could see plenty of empty seats in the nosebleed section. The show production will darken the lights for those areas so its not noticeable during the live broadcast. Now with current ticket prices and I hear Bruce Buffer yelling "Sold Out Arena" during each and every PPV I know 90% of the time its going to be total bullshit. The skyrocketing costs of tickets I don't plan on attending any future shows will just watch a free live stream instead.

They’re doing it to increase fighter pay right…

Has anyone noticed any big increase in fighter pay except for Conor and JJ since increase in ticket and PPV prices?

It's that way with most pro sports in the US.

I'm content to sit at home in front of the TV, with the fridge and restroom close by.

So true...I actually prefer to watch at home so no way I'm shelling out 1000 for the hassle of going.

All these sports events tickets seem like a giant bubble.

It's not just you. This is the result of WME/ESPN stuff IMO. I've talked about how this sport is best as a niche sport. When you bring in the casuals and the corporate people like other sports they bid up the good seats to so they can be seen, the place to be and all the other B.S.. It happened in the others sports years ago and now it's happening with the UFC. I just checked your event, your numbers are way off though. Tickets are about 450 each at the low end. Ticket prices have gone up but not as much as you are saying here.

Fight nights are affordable. Sandhagen vs Vera looks pretty cheap and is 3 hours away for me. Izzy vs Poatan 3 though...gonna spend $500 minimum. If their events are nearly selling out though, then the price is right.

Ticket prices definitely are getting ridiculous but they definitely still must be affordable since they still always sell out
As with most commodities, there's a tradeoff between selling a lot at a lower price, and a few at a high price. Presumably, the business brains of UFC have it all figured out.

Then again, if they are after popularity and mass appeal, they should keep it affordable.

gsp makes sense...

i went to 206 and 231 in toronto it wasnt THAT crazy.. bout 300 for pretty damn decent seats...i got to see swanson vs doy choi live...that was worth the 300 alone
Yeah that's pretty cool. Toronto is just dumb expensive. Not really a TO market without GSP these days compared to a pair of Leaf tickets (2 for 900 quid)

Mma is way better in the TV. The cage makes it awful to watch in loco.

true...gsp brings in that money...yeah toronto is stupid expensive ...231 sucked and was a waste of money...such a gamble lol

Yeah it's ridiculous, I paid £1000 for 2 tickets to UFC London last year just so I didn't have to sit in the nosebleeds but I was still nowhere near the cage.

At least I kinda got my money's worth out of the fights as the card was insane though.
