Personally I think he is lucky to have gotten the win. I had it 29-28 for Ige. I could see a 29-28 for Mitchell but 30-27 is insane IMO, First and Second rounds Ige did significant damage. Not sure how on earth (flat or round) a fight can be scored 30-27 when there is a round (2nd) that has to be stopped for the Dr to check if the damage is bad enough for a stoppage yet the damaged fighter wins that round? Junichiro Kamoji and David Lethaby scored the 2nd round for Mitchell. No idea how that is remotely justifiable with Damage as the top criteria.

Anyone puzzled about the 30-27 scorecard doesn't know how judging works nowadays.

They already had the truck order to give the fight to Bryce no matter what because he's the marketable one (atleast Bryce is trying his best to ruin that). 30-27 was giving Bryce a round in advance just in case he bombed it in the 3rd.

Honest to god I think Ige won that fight if we're still doing this whole damage based scoring thing - which seems to change on a week-by-week basis depending on who wants who to win.

I must have read "control time means nothing without damage" 600000 times on Sherdog over the last year. I fully expect the standard to change again.

His pre fight and post fight interviews should earn him 50k. Dana should have given him 50k for donating 5k to hawaii, or give him 50k on the condition he gives it to hawaii.
