This is one of the reasons why Sherbros on here have valid points to complain about the low level WMMA fights: The UFC keep on signing female fighters mainly for their looks and not their skills.

Talent female athletes / fighters are out there:
Nunes, Cyborg, Holmes, Rousey, Shevchenko, Joanna, Rose, Weili, Andrade, etc.​

Even though it is a nice bonus to have good looking female fighters, the first and primary focus should be on athletic and fighting talents. Beauty should be secondary if the UFC are serious about making this a real sport that is legitimate and exciting to watch.

Opening up bigger weight divisions would be another important step in developing real WMMA talents:

Watching the likes of Gabi Garcia grapple is painfully boring tbh. That division wouldn't be entertaining in the slightest. Plus she has about as much chance of passing USADA as I do of winning a UFC title.

The biggest women's division should be LW at the absolute highest.

If the UFC build the division, make the pay enticing, real top Olympic level athletes will come.

These girls are built for ten seconds if that of explosion, they would gas amazingly quickly in an MMA fight.

Just looking at some of the heptathlete medalists and they all seem to range in the 125-145 range. So that seems optimal, though with weigh cutting they'd likely be a bit lighter if they were fighters.

What? She has had 18 pro fights and all of them under age 23. She is on a five fight streak. She is 8-1 in her last nine. Her last loss was to a top ten Straweight . What more does she need to do earn her spot?
