UFC should move to UK/Europe

Yeah cause Dana seems the type that’s happy to get shafted for high taxes every way he turns

If they ever want the sport to grow in Europe they should start putting on decent cards at decent times. Last time they were in Stockholm the main event took place around 4 am local time and Rumble knocked out Gus. Saturday's event is at a good time though, just a lackluster card as usual.

Move to UK/Europe???

You do realise the UK have decided to leave the EU lol. It's like big news.

UFC should remain in America. It's not ever going to grab the attention from people in Europe who follow football. The whole product is catered to an American audience.

Won’t happen though so TS is probably right even though you are correct for what you said

We’re currently having women’s football rammed down our throats by the media so no thanks.

I know what the fuck is with that lately

Do you get confused by it too? I fucking do..
I zone out at work all the time and I hear
Oh.. Liverpool vs Southampton tonight?? Shit that under the radar
Oh.. women’s

You know all I see is this sort of bullshit. No technical analysis.

How lucrative do you really think the UFC is? Most of these events in the US are selling seriously shit ppv numbers now.

Europe is a huge area with time zones only within a few hours of each other generally. Less than from one place in America to another.

Now they have ESPN which is a good deal but they could easily have had sky sports and sky sports box office in UK and some of Europe.

If Europe had big cards, big fighters, well aimed advertising and the ability to watch most Saturday evenings at a good hour. It would sell like hot cakes
  • You're not smart. So I'm not wasting time on a long response. LOL
  • The UFC is currently worth $7 Billion. $1.5 Billion of that deal is tied directly to the ESPN, U.S. Market Broadcasting Deal.
  • You don't have the technical knowledge to engage in a conversation about a multi-national corporation.

What the UK needs is ancient Aztec rules rugby.

Maybe some 100 round bare Knuckle boxing.

Bit of Bull baiting (I know it's a bit European).

Ultimate Pub fights would also go down well, with an 8 pint minimum and additional pints as a handy cap against higher weight classes.

Yes but financially UFC moving to UK would be totally different to moving to Europe as Brexit is going to f shit up.

Would you explain how, when it's not in the EU now anyway? I think TS meant the timezone.

No. Brits and Europeans won't pay PPVs. And if they did, they would pick one card per year... It's a different culture than America. They don't tip. They don't expect to pay for shit unless they can eat, drink or physically keep it.

I already addressed ESPN.
Maybe you should read threads fully before engaging your mouth

The UFC should forget about north America and set up in Europe entirely. Particularly the UK.
In the UK and Europe football/ soccer obviously is king but theres room for a solid sport in the top 5. Rugby etc are big as well.

In north America they have a too many giant leagues like NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL. UFC will never compete with these sports in the us or Canada ,but the reality is. All of these are basically just niche sports in Europe. Virtually none existent.

These sports are huge Because of the sheer size of north America but in terms of world wide attraction. They are low on the totem pole.

If they shifted UFC head quarters to UK.
Put all the big events on in local European times for the fans to regularly enjoy.
They could charge ppv I guarantee.
They would have to give us it all. Prime time Saturday night and the best fights.

Combat sports is pretty big in the UK ( boxing) right now. I can't speak for some other European countries but it could work.

Anthony Joshua regularly is pulling.1.5 million PPVs in his last few fights.

lol this is like telling someone that lives in New York City to move to Karachi, Pakistan.

I will say the Brits are way more passionate about sports. When I was there about 10 years ago just joined in with some dudes wrestling/brawling outside the stadium, then we all proceeded to get more drunk together after the match.

Give them UFC

I mean......that would be great for me (living in the uk), all the fights would be on at a reasonable time......but it would prob be the end of UFC. All their PPV money comes from the states. We don’t pay for UFC directly here and if they introduced a £50 PPV we’d all stop watching (legally).

UFC is almost as American as it gets, it would be like moving the NFL and pickup trucks to the UK :D

No it's not. It's not like the fans are non existent in Europe and the ppv numbers are huge in north America. The idea isnt that preposterous.

Basketball isn't really anything in the UK. Its niche. Tennis is more seasonal.
It has a big place imo.
It's a big gamble but I think it could work
He was reffering about Europe not only the UK
