UFC should move to UK/Europe

Me too buddy. We deserve better
I'll talk to Dana about it if you promise to not push boring humping wrestlers and bad wmma

Strikers. Strikers everywhere.

Ive always viewed the UFC as being inherently "American", and I dont really have a problem with that being the case. US sports leagues will always be sizeable niches here in the UK, but you're never going to get something called the "Ultimate Fighting Championship" embraced as a major sport here.

British people like fighting?

No we're a bunch of sissies

Europe is so beta lmao

Let's keep our beloved company where it belongs.

BT Sport promote the sport better than any American establishment.

The UFC should forget about north America and set up in Europe entirely. Particularly the UK.
In the UK and Europe football/ soccer obviously is king but theres room for a solid sport in the top 5. Rugby etc are big as well.

In north America they have a too many giant leagues like NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL. UFC will never compete with these sports in the us or Canada ,but the reality is. All of these are basically just niche sports in Europe. Virtually none existent.

These sports are huge Because of the sheer size of north America but in terms of world wide attraction. They are low on the totem pole.

If they shifted UFC head quarters to UK.
Put all the big events on in local European times for the fans to regularly enjoy.
They could charge ppv I guarantee.
They would have to give us it all. Prime time Saturday night and the best fights.

Combat sports is pretty big in the UK ( boxing) right now. I can't speak for some other European countries but it could work.

Anthony Joshua regularly is pulling.1.5 million PPVs in his last few fights.

I chuckled

If moving to the UK means not having to pay for PPV's im all for it. But this thread is retarded.

It's pretty niche here too though man

Why do you say that though?

It'd be viewed as very brash and "American", a little WWE-esque. Plus Britains sporting landscape is easily the most crowded in Europe, and pretty much entirely with sports that the UK has deep historical links to. I cant think of a single established sport here thats considered an import from somewhere else.

Dont get me wrong though, you'll find plenty of MMA fans here and theres a fairly good domestic scene, but its not really looked at as a legitimate sport.

Too late, Dana already fixed his teeth. Would stand out like a sore thumb.

... There is no way the UFC can even come a mile close to envision thinking about maybe being at reach to be in European major league radar...

Barclays premiership
Spanish Liga
Italian serie A
Jupiler league
Deutch league
Bundesliga
Orange league

And this is just soccer

Then add :
- Rugby
- Tennis
- Basketball
- ...

Then add the fact that basically only the UK watch MMA since it is more or less banned in countries ike France
Also countries like Italia Germany, Spain... does not have famous MMA fighters...

More importantly, UFC business model of PPV won't work in Europe because only the UK has a PPV model... The rest as long as you are subscribed to that channel, all event are free

I'm from Europe but this is just stupid. They should however have some more events a year in Europe, there is enough demand for it.

It works now because they rarely do UK shows, so when they do have one people flock from all over Europe to see it, similar to when the WWE and the NFL come to the UK. They get great crowds for one off shows because it's rare they get a chance to see it live so it's a big event to them but it's not a true representation of how successful regular shows would be if they were happening as frequent as they are in the US. I doubt they'd pull anywhere near the same numbers as they do in the US.

Lol, UFC doesn't really compete with other sports besides Boxing and I guess maybe pro wrestling. No one skips the UFC because they are an NFL fan. They're pretty different forms of entertainment. It's kind of like no one skips the movies because they watch the NBA
