I really liked these ones. What do you guys think ?

what exactly is a non-custom poster......?

Where a custom poster is a poster specifically designed for an event, a non-custom poster is?

No need to be a dick...Just fixed it.

they dont? every poster is different

I prefer the consistency of the new ones to be honest. They are trying to build a brand, and need to get away from everything looking so haphazard.

New ones all have a theme and get across that brand message

they are making the posters different, but they are keeping the font the same and the layout the same so it can be used across a bunch of platforms, shapes and sizes.

I agree with TS, but I think it's just so easy to follow a defined pattern on making posters.
The weidman-machida was one of the best ever

but they did another different one where it showed the height difference you can google it

Yeah you are right.

I just feel like the creativity isn't there anymore, you know..

Looks kinda simple to me

Nope...most of the headline posters look exactly like this now,just different names;

thats not a poster though, thats just a graphic.

They are using the same fonts throughout and the flash graphics for web, twitter etc, are basically all with the same layout etc. but they are varying things slightly on teh posters..

191 - same font, athletes backed in gold

UFC_191_Poster_.jpg

192 - face off poster, but same font and use of ufc logo and #number in boxes

ufc-192-poster.jpg

193 - Rousey/Holm face off. Theres also a frontal basic graphic. again, font same

ufc-193-feature.jpg

194 - same fonts, logo in boxes etc, but flag backgrounds

They are different, but they maintain a consistent style, and that style runs through into the on screen graphics etc.

from a branch point of view they look great. They are trying to build a consistent look and it actually looks pretty good.

That would cut into their profit.

Yeah,there's my point. I don't want that.

I LOL'd at Weidman-Vitor. It looks like Belfort is squeezing Weidman's nads.
I saw another one pop up for Weidman-Rockhold, where they both looked baaadly out of shape, probably shot after a binge month on monday morning.

But trying to build a brand, thats part of it.

Imagine if coca cola changed their font every month, or starbucks, or harley davidson switched to comic sans..

Its all about building a brand image, and doing totally seperate posters every event, while it may please the nostalgia buff it doesnt work from a promotional point of view.

You're probably right. But they already knew about all that before they made the posters that I've mentioned, right ?

I just made my request from a fan's perspective,not business :)
