However, if you accuse a public figure of murder, that’s slander and if he starts saying these things on UFC televised events, he’d be potentially subjecting UFC for broadcasting that slander.

Seems like a difficult to prove legal standard - good luck finding a lawyer that will go after a massive corporation because an independent contractor made a false statement where it’s impossible to prove any negative financial effect.
