I think like others pointed out, they don't have to pay the venue for hosting, which I'm sure the company loves doing (and got comfortable with during the pandemic it seems).

But when you're trying to build stars, it makes a great fight feel less special to most people. I guess that's an assumption, but it seems like a fair one. Maybe not people like us on forums, we'll watch anyway, but the broader audience.
