Everyone is debating whether Merab gets a rematch or Umar is next for Yan. But I think people are sleeping on UFC favoritism. If O'Malley beats Song Yadong, especially if it's by (T)KO, don't be shocked if he gets the next title shot.

Given some of the recent fight announcements I’d actually say O’Malley is the front runner with a win. A built in storyline with a guy that the promotion is clearly behind absolutely fits matchmaking trends.

Anyways, I wouldn't be so sure O'Malley is getting the next title shot with a win over Yadong anyways. I think it's a coin flip who gets it between him & Umar if they both win their next fight.

They can just make Sean vs Yan now. Scrap the Dong fight. It wasn't expected Merab loses. This opens up the Sean Yan rematch. Since Sean got a fake win over him they will use that to justify the fight. And as a Yan fan I like it that he gets to destroy him now for real.
