They measure them a day before the fight, so fight height can vary .

Height is verified by the fighter, reach and weight is measured

I never understood why this is a big deal. Matt Serra is 6'11" and Jon Jones is 5'4".

Fuck no, they just give em the ol

<{titihmm}><mma4><Fedor23>
And slap a ballpark on em

Also, these photos are from deceptive angles. It's all just lighting.

When will this height-cutting come to an end? Do we really have to wait until someone dies in there? #JUSTSTAHPIT

I always felt Jake Ellenberger and Eddie Alvarez were much shorter than their original listed heights. Ellenberger was the most brazen though, he by no shape or form had the frame of a 6 footer. He looked every bit 5'8 by his frame alone and was getting dwarfed by 5'10 guys on the regular. Eddie alvarez always been 5'7, not sure why he's so insecure about that. 5'7 is the "small" guy cut off but you don't gotta lie and add 2 inches to seem bigger, we all can see it.

I honestly don't think they measure fighters height at all. I think they just ask the fighter, or his manager, what their height is and post it.
