News UFC PPV's to now be $74.99 USD

How they've convinced you yanks to pay 70$ a piece so far still eludes me.

Ngannou vs Gane is still showing as $65 Cdn.

I think in 2021 it was $65 USD and UFC charged $65 Cdn in Canada.

So if it goes to $75 in the US it'll probably be $75 in Canada

Whoever sets these prices knows most people who pay $65 won't change their mind over a $10 price hike. They probably already have the timing and amount planned for the next price hike in 1-2 years.
i hope you're right or we're going to have to start living for fight nights at the apex!

@Pancake Sprawl is right. Eveyone is all 'Dana this!' and 'Dana that!'.. he's a president, a figurehead and has ZERO bearing in pricing fuck all. It's WME/ESPN and corporate thst is doing this. Period. They are in the business of making money and reducing debt, not being benevolent about fighter health or pay.
People here need to get a clue - while Dana is no saint at all, he's way out of the loop regarding PPV costs, fighter base pay, or any of the other myriads of shit he's blamed for. Blame WME.
again, don't blame wme. blame the fertitta's. they sold the business with this pricing model. they assured buyers this model could be maintained. they could have changed the model before putting it up for sale but they didn't. buyers priced this into the deal, and thus committed to maintaining it. if wme didn't price it into the deal, someone else would have come in with a better bid and would be doing the same thing.

the fertitta's had the ability to make the change, and sell for a lower multi billion dollar gain. they sought to max out instead.

now it's just competitive pressures that will force changes, or legal / regulatory requirements. people want to just place blame or make it a battle of good vs evil and it's never that simple. it's healthier to focus on what could drive change than just complaining.

Where is your evidence of any of this?
He's happy to speak directly to Jake Paul regarding fighter pay, hence he's happy to take responsibility for it.
lol. he made a brief video.......

you think he's negotiating pay with jake paul?

he is president of the company though and does have a voice in the strategic direction and business plans of the company. he's not just an order taker. ufc management obviously has alot of input in how the company is managed.

$1,000 per year to watch something that has been dreadfully diluted.....thank goodness for Russian link.

This is a bad move in my opinion. I feel tht $60 should have been the cap for longer. I reckon that the profit margins may be offset by the reductions of PPV buys at this price. Time will tell, but I only see big ticket PPVs being purchased in large numbers at this price that will appeal to more casual viewers.

I wouldn't even chip in $10 at this point..

I would pay for it, but there's ways to get it for free. So no.
