News UFC PPV's to now be $74.99 USD

At one point Dana said it would never go over a certain amount and then it did and it was a one time thing. So yea people lie and I will still buy big cards it is what it is. Lots of cards to choose from and a lot of them are on ESPN plus so really maybe 8 PPV a year to choose from. Ill pick 5 I want to see and buy em. I get it. Crap but a gallon of Tropicana OJ in Hawaii is around $16 so Illl pay for the PPV that does not give me acid reflux every time I look at the bottle. If I get bored though we have lots of rivers and streams to swim in the aina.

I remember I brought UFC 40 for $24.95 and they had 5% off if you booked before the day of the PPV.. so 5% off 24.95 (23.70)

UFC 40 was brilliant, well worth the money and great event, the prelims were like the main cards of todays PPVs (if not better). They put so much effort into the show, the way it was all set up, the lighting, the promos, the interviews, everything.

I pick and choose which PPVs to buy now because so many of them are watered down and not worth the price, I just can't justify paying so much for a lacking card. I now skip watching most of the PPVs, and just watch the Fight Night events and ESPN events. upping it to $75 is outrageous

When I ordered UFC 40, I got a t-shirt, and the DVD when it was released a few month later. That was a hell of a deal.

Such a bargain, they are practically giving them away

I know, by people living in the 90s.... if you still use fax, it's because you are behind on technology.

Nothing more, nothing less. Fax machines are unreliable and slow. You don't need one, even if you think you do.
Fax machines are still widely used and it has nothing to do with being "behind on technology"

I feel even more justified to stream now.

I actually pay for PPVs, but if they actually boost if to that price I'll be streaming going forward. I'm already paying for Fightpass and ESPN+ just to watch prelims.

There is your answer Jake Paul lel

Do not like Dana but I love this

UFC PPV's essentially all have to have triple headline fights with three title fights or two + one crazy money bout (ie, a McGregor fight) or this isn't going to fly.

Does the UFC really have that much starpower on it's roster?

They have a lot of the best fighters in the world, nobody can question that, but 'starpower'?

All they can do is stack 5 fights on top of one another and hope people pay.

I think they're actually drawing from the ESPN playbook. Fewer people are buying the product, so just jack up the price for the people who actually do buy it, because they're gonna pay for it regardless of the price.

How about $10 a month for every PPV and ESPN card? Feel free to charge an arm and leg for individuals buying a single event but there should be an affordable package deal for everything.
