Really doesn't matter to me one bit, I'll be watching regardless.

Best attitude to have.
When people would say, "boxing is a dying sport", I could have cared less...I wasn't watching it becaus it was cool to do.

doesn't surprise me, I remember during it's "peak" my friends and I would order every ppv and be damned if we missed any. now its only a handful of us who still know what's goin on but we don't watch every single event anymore.

Actually this means nothing. Because the UFC has become more mainstream, people don't just search for "UFC" anymore, but rather they search for more specific UFC related terms. This dilutes the total searches for "UFC". In addition, you are looking at partial data. The searches are on pace to be exactly what they have been in previous months.

i wouldn't be surprised, even i barely bothered to watch the card list night

there hasnt been a "MUST SEE" in a long time

I'm not saying its saturation, just that i don't get that excited over jones beating on sonnen or hendo vs someone who wants to lay on him

As long as the UFC is still there putting on good fights does it really matter, we can still watch it. Why is it so important everyone else is watching it.

Perhaps it's just me, but I don't think that a decline in people searching one term, "UFC", means anything.

You'd have to run way more terms than that and even if you did it wouldn't be sufficient.

I think PPV buys, ratings from TUF and other broadcast shows, magazine covers and/or feature stories, amount of MMA stories in sports sections.

It's not about PPV

It's about popularity among the unwashed masses

There will always be diehards who will buy the PPV's just like with boxing

but most people on the street probably don't even know who Maywetaher is, just imagine how anonymous some MMA guys are

Maybe people aren't googling UFC anymore because they are "binging" it instead.:icon_chee

So this is all over google searches of the word "ufc" or what? I wouldnt worry too much about it

You mean the owners telling me "I am not a true fan" and to "go fuck yourself" for complaining about increasingly watered down cards isn't good business????? after I spent 1000's on the UFC in past years

who would of thought? :(

I started voting with my wallet, so have others.

Hmm interesting. Iremember when people were pissed that Anderson was #1 p4p ahead of GSP and many people said the UFC were doing it because his PPV sales were shit. Guess starting from Silva v. Sonnen a lot more people were paying attention to Anderson.

EDIT: Oh wait these aren't ppv sales. Never mind then didn't read the OP more carefully lol

I love UFC more than ever, even though they make some stupid decisions.

Damn, that's pretty bad.

I just don't really dig the way the UFC does it's media. Like lame interviews or "insiders" on people we don't really give a shit about.

And honestly, I don't think the UFC is good at hyping up fights at all.

The ppv cards have been sucking for the most part. When they switched to have PPVs like 2 times a month, plus the FuelTV and FOX shows, it has diluted the PPV appeal. Now for the most part you might have 1 good fight, 1 decent fight, and then a bunch of no names (for the avg viewer).

Take the FuelTV show last night, Werdum vs Big Nog is the mainevent and that isn't really isn't mainevent worthy. Big Nog is on the decline and will never compete for the HW title (10yrs ago he woulda been champ though). They are just setting Werdum up for a title shot. And this is another problem, just giving guys a title shot when they dont deserve it. Example, Belfort and Sonnen didnt deserve a shot what so ever. But they smart UFC fan sees this as Dana just trying to sell the PPVs.

Another thing is that they keep their champs from hardly fighting. They fight like what, 2 times a year, maybe 3?

Couldn't care less. The UFC is making boat loads of cash and hence isn't going out of business anytime soon.

I don't care how big the UFC is. I watched it before it took off in 2005 and ill carry on watching.
