UFC, please stop ruining fight cards by having Dominick Cruz commentate

Some people that like Cruz say they like his technical breakdowns, but to me it sounds like he's just trying to show how much he knows about what's going on without actually adding anything to the viewing experience--which is the purpose of a commentator.

Tonight's card was Cruz's worst yet. "In one more second [such and such] is going to happen....ok, it's about to happen." Then it doesn't happen, and he goes on to something else.

Seriously, 99% of people watching don't care what the next 6 possible steps are that fighter X could take to get back to standing position.

That, and Cruz's whiny voice is just insufferable after about 5 minutes. There are plenty of great commentators out there, so to whoever from the UFC scans the forums, please give Cruz a different job.

No, not really. Commentators add and subtract from the viewing experience. If watching fights is something you like to do, then how well you like or dislike the commentators isn't a weird thing to care about.

It's even more annoying to me when he goes off on what a fighter SHOULD do instead of what he's doing. It comes off like he's scolding.

This. I enjoy analytical breakdowns during the commentary. Better than listening to guys like Jon Anik and that other Englishman they have overseas. I also like when DC is on commentary.

IMO Cruz is a great commentator, even if you don't like his style, no way is his commentary so bad to the point where it ruins events, quit crying.
