When I watched the card live and saw this, I just assumed he was automatically signed. But the main event even outdid that.

I think they might sign him but it's probably not a straighforward deal to do on the night. Fremd and Dulgarian are young fighters getting their first contract in a big promotion so they get offered and take the 12/12 deal. Dantas probably requires a bit of negotiation as he'd be on more than that.

I meant that generally. They pretty clearly care more about signing reasonable talent on cheap contracts. Dantas is still a very good fighter and better than most people out there.

That being said, are you saying choosing the other two over him makes sense?

I can see why they chose Dulgarian over him, kid looks to have huge potential. But it shouldn't be a straight choice anyway.
