News UFC passed on signing Dudu Dantas, even tho he scored a highlight KO

because that's when he was relevant. he knocked out Jose Alday buddy, talk to me when he knocks out Jose Aldo.
I mean they have been training partners since their youths, so why are making a scenario that will never happen.... Weak troll attempt

You always make the shittest most idiotic UFC shill comments, a gimmic that is pretty weak

I thought I recalled him stating in an interview he'd be happy to come to the UFC even for low pay. Maybe they'll still bring him in at some point.

he shoulda been a long time ago, when he was actually relevant. beating someone who was on DWCS doesn't mean he's the best talent. he also lost on DWCS and the guy i was replying to said they're only interested in filling out cards. why would him knocking out a guy who has lost on their feeder show make them think he's the best talent?

He fought the most accomplished guy on the card and had the most impressive win. He should be signed. It's that simple.

Maybe Dana didn't want to sign a guy named Du-du?

Maybe they still will. Possibly his agent isn't in America and it'll take more time? Maybe he didn't accept their initial offer? I don't know. He deserves an opportunity, though.

I meant that generally. They pretty clearly care more about signing reasonable talent on cheap contracts. Dantas is still a very good fighter and better than most people out there.

That being said, are you saying choosing the other two over him makes sense?

it makes sense if you believe what you believe about the UFC. i'm just pointing out Dantas might be closer to the end of his career than the beginning. these other guys aren't.

they're cheaper and have less mileage. unless Dudu is on some crazy win streak and knocking out other top guys i don't see the appeal from the UFC's standpoint. 1 KO over some guy isn't anything, especially like i said 2 fights in 3 years?

Dantas is a definite 10/15 fighter, but im sure with his resume the UFC doesn't want to pay him when they can sign Joe Schmo for 10k/10k. Dantas might also take out up and coming prospects.

He's 33, as others have pointed. He's one of the best in the world and clearly deserves it.

You've acknowledged they're cheaper. That's a good start. You'll get there once your head is completely out of your ass. It'll take time though.

Stupid move by Dana. They keep Sam Alvey but don't have money for a guy like Dantas?

I hope Bellator gives him one more chance

nah, it's just you and the other guy will suck anyone's dick just to make the UFC look bad. i'm looking at it without bias. you using him knocking out a guy who lost on DWCS as a reason he should be in the UFC while also pretending like DWCS is only to search out cheap talent completely breaks you and sweaty av's entire argument.

if DWCS is so bad why does this guy deserve a shot because he knocked out some guy who LOST on it? you and sweaty also haven't answered why is he "the best talent" with 2 fights in 3 years? his last fight against a relevant guy was Juan Archuleta where he was KO'd.

he's one of the best in the world? how do you figure? who has he beaten that's good? all of his best wins were 5+ years ago buddy. i think you need to get your head out of your ass. pro sports are what have you done for me lately. you can't live on your past achievements forever.

I mean when did this event end? I assume extremely recently? Hopefully within the next week or so he gets signed.

Boring gimmic.

The DWCS is a way to get cheap talent since everyone gets the same 4 bout 10K/10K deal. DWCS has good talent, but it doesn't change that it is a way to get top regional talent on cheap contracts

The UFC isn't interested in signing the best talent.

They're interested in signing cheap talent that can fill cards well enough.

Exactly this. Dudu is a vet and should absolutely command a higher price than the strays that Dana picks up from the pretender series. That's why he won't be signed.

Would love to see Dudu have a resurgence in the UFC after being CUT from Bellator.

How did he look the rest of the fight? Surely a brutal KO like that warrants a contract.

You do realize he'd have been offered the same contract as the guys they signed. This has nothing to do with someone wanting more money and UFC not wanting to pay.

and this guy is "the best talent"? come on. 2 fights in 3 years and he knocked out a nobody. they already have a guy who knocked Dantas out anyway. Tyson Nam.
You haven't been watching him fight or you don't know what you're looking at.

He was beating up the guy, and the other guy was good. Was faster and sharp as hell.

Did anyone get signed? Surely there was explanation why the ko was not enough? Or did Dana play the signing money in poker and now he is all like:"sorry guys not today but maybe next time"
