Something needz to change wit teh rankings, & so I'm all about trying this new approach.

That said, the most interesting thing for me was the other stuff Meta is going to do. There's a lot of high quality tech that's not being used atm & I look forward to seeing how teh new higher tech integrates into our beloved sport.

Let's be real, these don't really matter. They'll give title shots to whoever they want to give title shots to. Conor can comeback and demand a title shot against DDP and he'll get it over Khamzat, Borralho, Imavov and any other ranked middleweight if it he wants to.

I like this question. I have always said that there are 3 rules that need to be set up.

1. If a fighter is ranked and has not fought within a year of their last fight they are removed from the rankings. This prevents rank squatting like Usman is doing currently and what Chandler has done in the past.
   
   
2. No more interim champions. A champion must defend their title similar to #1. If they do not the champion is stripped.
   
   
3. If you are removed from the rankings for inactivity the fighter must fight a guy outside of the top 10 on their first fight back.

I am sure they will just end up with a points-based Fightmatrix-like ranking according to fight results and who you fought

Everything is AI nowadays. If their ranking is just an Excel sheet adding points for victory they'll call it AI.
Afterall, it was a machine that made the calculation right?

Nah. This is a program deciding what the rankings will be based on whatever metrics the UFC chooses to prioritize. If that's Instagram followers, that will impact the most.
