What's better than being the #1 MMA promotion? Possibly being so much better than everybody else that nobody outside the UFC can crack the P4P top ten. It wasn't always this way of course. I'm pretty sure even a year ago there were fighters outside the UFC who were considered preeminent in their weight class.

Full disclosure, I only watch UFC these days. But without any relevant competing promotions out there, I have no reason to doubt UFC's supremacy.

The UFC had a long head start, and did everything they could to make the name synonymous with the sport.

No other promotion is ever gonna bring that to the table, so it would take a PRIDEFC Yakuza esque disaster to stop the UFC, and that might as well bring the whole sport down with it.

A: Islam or Ilia
B: Poatan, Merab, Khamzat. These guys need to do something huge to move in to A
c: Volk, Pantoja, Holloway. No shot at A or B. But respect to these guys for the wars they put up.
