So kevin randleman dies. Guy was an pioneer in the sport havins success in both ufc and pride. Now there a eulogy on sherdog talking about his notable fights. They bring up murillo rua (brother of a mediocre fighter) yet dont mention how he locked horns with fedor in his prime and almost won. Gave us one of the best highlights in mma history and they dont even mention it! Is there any way thats possible? Did it slip the 22 yr old editors mind or is it dana told them to limit the fedor talk or theyre going to shut em down. Wtf, its shameful

I thought it was about Randleman, not about Fedor.

Dana's twitter feed literally has the video of Randleman throwing Fedor on his head.

man there was a really good gif someone made of randleman randleplexing fedor out of a plan plummeting from the skies. I wonder if i might still have that one somewhere at home.

Surely one of the most epic and memorable moments in the history of this sport...now and forever.

It's not too bizarre. The article mentioned notable fights against Saku, Shogun, and Rampage. Its purpose was to inform of his death. If they ever do some epic retrospective on his entire career and omit the Fedor fight, I'll sign up.

in that case TS should leave this site and never come back. problem solved!

at times, sherdog def seems to want to keep the ufcs interests - would be great to know what is really going on, but unlikely - for example, when ronda / travis stuff came out, i felt like sherdog was making at least a small effort to keep people from talking about it, obviously in ufcs interests - also, simply separating the UFC from other promotions keeps most of the people in the heavies as close minded fans who only follow the ufc - small things like that, but i have no idea if the ufc is actually owning sherdog or if they maybe pressure them or who knows - maybe sherdog just made those decisions independently

Thread title says it all ...
Anywho, Fedor was lucky to survive that battle.

It was an epic moment mainly because Fedor came back after that and submitted Randleman.

A eulogy should be about the person that died and their moments, not about someone they fought that overcame their attacks to win.

The word Randleplex truly is iconic among fans of the sport. It has it's place with the likes of Crocop's Cemetary Kick, Pettis' Showtime Kick, and Russo's Hammerfist of Doom as some of the most awe inspiring and fear inducing moves in all of MMA.

I am legit fucked up over this. The Monster was one of my heroes in the early days of MMA. Randleplex gifs shall be spammed for the rest of the week in his honor.

Maybe they didn't want to remember his losses and chose to focus on his wins. Having a great highlight that ends in a the person being eulogized tapping to a straight armbar is not the most loving tribute possible. The Crocop knockout was the correct thing to focus on.

Fedor sucks, dummy.

He's not even in the mix.

You fuckin goof.

(thanks uncle Dana!)
