Nice! Jacare is now living in the states and he is actually speaking a little English finally.

Souza says he jumped on the Brunson fight as soon as it was offered. Says he doesn't really see this as a rematch, but a totally new and different fight, as Brunson is not the same fighter he faced in Strikeforce years ago.

He says that Brunson has good hands, but that he has a more complete variety of strikes, plus his Jiu Jitsu. Says he is going to back Derek up, and finish him.

 
I think Jacare takes this. Brunson is aggressive, but tends to get wild with his hands. Jacare has always been a patient striker, which will pay off here.

I think Jacare controls the wrestling too. Brunson is going to be wary of Jacare's ground skills, where as Jacare probably doesn't care too much if he lands on his back.
 
not a fan of either fighters

but i think Jacare takes it in the 2nd TKO

i also said Brunson would beat Machida so it's not like i am counting Brunson out, Jacare is just the better fighter at the moment
i also had Whitaker beating Jacare

I always root for Jacare. He always brings it and seems pretty humble in victory and in defeat.
 
Going with Jacare. Seems like a cool guy to hang with. Plus, he is bound to get over that hurdle and challenge for the belt.
 
Ah Jacare... I still believe in him being champion one day. It's possible you know...

Brunson consistently underrated around here and Jacare looks like father time has caught up to him in his last two against Whitaker and Boetsch imo (yes he beat Boetsch but he was surprisingly stiff and got hit more than he should have). This is a fight a prime Jacare should typically win but I don't think we're looking at a prime Jacare anymore, Brunson probably drops the hammer on him.
 
I been leaning toward Souza but after the road to the octagon I am leaning toward Brunson, the fight would go five that is a fact not opinion at this point.
Tough fight for both guys

Brunson is a good dude but I would like to see Jacare rebound

I feel like this fight has been kinda flying under the radar.. I'm really excited about it and hope it's a good scrap

Seems like Jacare was just getting better and better and better with each fight. Then all of a sudden he just seemed to look much worse in two consecutive fights.
 
Jacare already won the first fight easily, and he's even better now. Not sure why they made this fight to be honest. (just kidding I do) Whole card is kind of a let down. First fight will probably be decent, but the only real intrigue is getting to watch Gregor smash his gimme fight.

i respect you having your opinon, just curious as to how you're not a fan of either of the fighters? Like what makes you not like these guys? Cuz I find very little to dislike about both guys to be honest.

I voted Brunson just based on that too, but, it could have been the injuries hampering him. Hopefully he proves me wrong because I like Jacare more, but, like you said, father time is undefeated (except for Randy)
 
War Jacare! Would be great to see him get this win, and hopefully somehow get a title shot before the window closes for him.

Hate to break it to you but Jacare isn't championship caliber. Beating Brunson won't prove that either.
