Media UFC no longer offering comp tickets to fighter's families

Can't wait for the downfall of Dana via his greed. It cannot happen soon enough, UFC is going to one day be split right open by one of many unethical/illegal practices they partake in, and a large chunk of the roster will be redistributed amongst other promotions, and it'll be the best thing to happen to MMA instead of having this pseudo-monopoly. I'm making a prediction now, Dana White gets indicted on tax evasion or money laundering in the next decade, things like Power Slap are just too obvious vehicles to wash money with.

lower level fighters have to pay for their fam and friends tickets. slightly discounted but not much

Damn. I side with UFC on many things. This, while understand, can't support.

Wonder what the exact details are

Sounds like Tim himself didn't get the tickets; sounds like he's getting axed soon

I'm sure they sold some premium vip tickets to family members before and got bloodthirsty

Way to tank company morale lol

Doing this shit eventually puts you out of business.

UFC making record money hand over fist . First they go even less on % now they even take away free fam tickets? This is going to bite Ari on the ass eventually.

It's amusing to see how bold they are squeezing more and more each year. Wonder where it will end. Good luck fighters.

The NFL give out 2 comp tickets to every active game-day player.

That's 96 tickets for the 48 active roster players per 32 teams per week, 17 weeks played. Over the course of a season that comes out to 52,224 comp tickets.

... and the NFL is doing just fine.

Just embarrassing.

UFC is milking every single possible aspect right now. ESPN deal has UFC min-maxing. This makes sense.

Common courtesy for starters. Even regional promos give you family tickets. Super sleazy move IMO.

Common courtesy?

Its a job, not charity. My boss doesn't pay for my family and I wouldn't expect him to

The problem is the top earners won't complain. And they're the ones that have the power to make things change. Ngannou is probably the only active high profile fighter we have seen go against the UFC.

Those lower on the totem pole can't really do anything about it. They can go against the UFC but the problem is they signed a long term contract and have no leverage for re-negotiation.

We often hear Dana say, ''All the fighters are free to do whatever they want. You don't think we pay you enough to fight? Then don't fight''. What he doesn't tell you is he won't let them fight elsewhere.

So they have 2 options.

1. Get a regular job because they can't pursue their passion in another organization.

2. Fight out their ridiculously long contract.

The UFC is a well oiled machine.

Everyone always talks about how the super rich don't care about anything but money, and then as soon as they come into some money, they forget all about their charitable convictions
