MMA nicknames tend to be quite cringeworthy. They either don't fit or sound ridiculous.
I don't see why everyone feels they have to have a nickname.

The criteria for nicknames should be whether the fighter is actually called that by his inner circle.

I'd love to hear Alex Morono's brother call him, "Hey, Great White! How ya doin?"

Would have been a lot less dumb if there was only 1 fighter who had it. It suited Alves pretty well but the Pitbull brothers ruined that nickname for me.

I have a buddy who has a pit bull tattoo and it looks like the dogs face is ripping thru his skin. We all bust his balls about it to this day. He got it when we were in our 20s. It’s such a horrible tattoo and he hates when he rag on him for it even after all these years. It’s just so awful
