Perry is average at best for now, while the other two are a step above mediocre. They all got destroyed once they stopped fighting cans.

Over the last two years only one potential star hasn’t crumbled under the spotlight.

Well the UFC doesn't have a fool proof way of guaranteeing who's going to be highly successful, average, or worse. The thing is, guys like sage are the ufc's future of the next 10 years. Let's not forget the guy is super young. He's going to get better. Paige had the looks, and she has the toughness, she's just got to fight a little easier schedule and keep getting better. That's why they pushed her into the spot light. And for Mike Perry, the guy busted onto the scene winning left and right. He's on a skid, but he's got the trash talk and humor to make himself marketable so to me that makes sense.

The UFC needs to promote divisions, not fighters. The divisions are a constant in the UFC, unlike fighters.

Looking at divisions as an individual commodity inherently ensures that the credibility of the title remains intact, an equal amount of advertising and proper booking is reserved for each division, and new fighters for each division are actively recruited to ensure a healthy amount of turnover.

But the UFC is an overrated promotional company and will likely never get ahead of the curve.
