UFC needs Minakov really bad

I was telling a friend before UFC 226 that Stipe is not the best HW now. He said how he broke the HW defense record, I said against a bunch of nobodys (except Dos Santos) and chinless Overreem. Now DC wins and is going to fight part time fighter and full time roider Brock, DCs big brother (Cain) already destroyed him. I think Bas Rutten at 50 has a better shot than Brock. UFC needs 21 and 0 Minakov to have the legit best Heavyweight world champion.
Casuals want to see Brock because of his fame and looks-- not skill or ranking.
People who pay attention to all MMA want DC vs Minakov. Please UFC sign Vitaly Minakov and if you don't know him-- leave and do some research!

So your saying go overpay Brock and not Vitaly. With Brock you get a loss and a failed drug test. You should run the UFC. Atleast with Vitaly Minakov you can sign a 3 fight deal / Brock is 1 and fail

So DC lost to a roided guy who's arguably the most skilled fighter of all time and you compare that with DJ fucking Linderman?

Minakov has only been rocked once because he's fought nothing but cans for the most part. Yeah he beat a green Volkov, but so did Kongo and Tony Johnson (robbed).

Jones, Gus, and Rumble would wreck Minakov easily, he's stiff as a board and doesn't have a good chin.

I can't disagree with you more.

Stipe is probably still the best guy at HW. He got caught. It happens.

But to say he fought nobodies? He took the belt off werdum, beat overeem and jds. Francis was overhyped and probably needed a few more fights before getting a title shot but HW has historically been a thin division, not just in the UFC. Stipe beat the best guys available and did it convincingly.

However, I'd love to see minakov in the UFC. I think minakov and volkov are about the best offerings outside of Stipe, Cain, DC and Blaydes right now.... but your argument against Stipe is he fought "nobodies" but in the same post you are hyping minakov who has faced lesser competition.

I don't know how seriously Minakov takes fighting at these days. I think that like over a year ago before a fight he said that he has been watching more hockey than practicing fighting and in his last fights he has been more fatter. I believe that that fucked his motivation when Bellator wasn't willing to pay decent money for him and now he just fight journeymen in Russia every now and then to collect the pay-check.

The UFC needs all good HWs they can get. Minakov, Pavlovich, etc. Not saying they'd be champions but they could make some noise.

Minakov would definitely be a top 10 in the UFC but don't think he'll sign at this point of his career. In the long run I think Sergey Pavlovich (25 y/o 12-0 FN HW champ) will even be better.

With Brock, no matter how many times he fights, they get profit.
With Minakov, they get whatever they could've received without Minakov.

I think UFC is doing just fine even without me running it. I know it's hard to believe, still...
