UFC must implement Championship rules to prevent McGregor & GSP debacles

One of the problems is champs getting the belt choosing to sit out with an injury and waiting for a fight they like to pop up

UFC doesn't give a shit about its true fans or their fighters. They will continue to cater to the fanboys as long as they're making money.

How about an actual ranking system for who gets the title shot while we're at it. Loser of a title fight drops 4-5 ranking spots immediately so that next in line gets a shot which would also prevent rematches that no one necessarily wants right away.

The UFC isn't going to do anything that boxes them into a place where they can't make more money out of a given situation.

More options > fewer options

That's some backward ass logic there.
That's cause it just blew your mind.

We don't need any stupid rules. The only singular rule is that the champion should be the highest ranked fighter in the division. It's simple. And it's what the word champion means.

They should have given Rockhold an immediate rematch, or they should have had bisping fight the number 1 contender instead of hendo.

Then they doubled down on that stupid idea by giving gsp a shot.

The champion needs to be a reasonable favourite over the rest ofnthe top of the division. Bisping fighting two guys who would be underdogs against the rest of the top 5 middleweight fighters is the problem at mw. Just greed. Completely destroyed the whole spirit of the championship for years, they did

As for McGregor, that guys celebrity transcends sport. Can't make rules to protect against that.

I'm very glad that the Bisping fight happened, as it sealed my doubts about a fight between Prime Silva vs GSP. Georges would gass trying to wrestle and end up being KTFO by the superior striker Anderson Silva
