Exactly!!! That type of fight require boxing and UFC machine working together, Ngannou could had a huge offer from Fury...as a UFC champ and all that comes with, as of right now all he has its a trophy, not even access to his highlights for promotional purposes, whatever the UFC offered is more than his current $0 offers. You all talk about Ngannou vs the UFC. But in reality Ngannou fuck the fans over and not the UFC. As soon as he got the belt he put the division on hold. 1 fight in 23 months? Are you kidding me? And then he leaves. Why? Because 8 million per fight wasn't high enough?
Bu...bu..but his boxing career... He can do those freakshow fights when he is retired. Or are any of you people thinking he could be somebody in boxing now?
Bu...bu...but he would get 30 million in one fight in boxing!!! How naive are you guys? He couldn't even sell 300k with the UFC PR machine behind him. White got 8 million against Fury, Chisora got 6 million. Top 10 boxers and known in the UK. Ngannou is a nobody in the UK and their boxing fans don't know him.
What he did makes no sense. He doesn't even have a fight scheduled yet, in a few days, he won't even be the #1 HW on the planet anymore. Specially if Jones wins. UFC will win money the same way as usual, the only people that got punished for his decisions are the fans. And the "fighters" did not benefit at all by him claiming he was leaving for their rights and behaving like a martyr. This just makes no fucking sense at all.
Intellectual honesty conceding the most important dynamic of the matchmakingWhy would they mention him? He’s not a UFC fighter anymore.
I'm not ok with that, this is about Ngannou. I always give them shit for how they treated DJ and Romero. But Ngannou brought everything he is getting on himself the way he behaved. You call them bush league but are OK with them fucking over their fighters? Makes sense
Why give nganou free pr when its clear hes never coming back to the ufc? Also why talk about ganes loss when you are hyping the fight?
You people are weird if you think there is something unnatural about this situation, and the person op quoted a tweet from should have his account deleted for being an idiot.
So you think Gane's first undisputed title shot is not worth mentioning? Francis leaving the company being the reason why Jones and Gane are fighting for the belt in the first place is not worth mentioning? Why would they mention him? He’s not a UFC fighter anymore.
You’re putting me in a bad position by having to defend the UFC, which I typically avoid doing at all costs, but it just doesn’t make any sense for them to promote Ngannou in any facet, right now.So you think Gane's first undisputed title shot is not worth mentioning? Kinda sad that Gane lost to Dada 9000 and then the UFC put him in another title shotGood
Francis Dada 9000 Ngannou had his chance and he chose to take his services elsewhere
It’s petty and silly. Nobody expects them to talk him up, but to just pretend he doesn’t exist…typical Dana white pettiness. Why would they mention him? He’s not a UFC fighter anymore.

They are not "promoting" Francis, just providing the context of why this fight is happening and of Cyril's title opportunities before this one and why he is the #1 contender. You’re putting me in a bad position by having to defend the UFC, which I typically avoid doing at all costs, but it just doesn’t make any sense for them to promote Ngannou in any facet, right now.
Maybe if Ngannou had left years ago, but their “feud” is still fresh and he’s currently attempting to negotiate a boxing deal. The UFC can’t be promoting him in any way. If Ngannou lands a big boxing deal, it sets a horrible precedent for them(which I disagree with, since I think fighters should be free to do whatever they want, but still) since the UFC’s business model is heavily reliant on making the fighters dependent on the brand.
Yes and no, Jake Paul might inflate his numbers, but he is still the one putting the event together not the one being brought in, he owns the promotion like all major names in boxing.Did Ngannou get conned by Jake Paul claiming to make millions in his fights and he thinks he can do the same?
