and not a peep from BBC Sports
http://www.bbc.com/sport

I think if Bisping KOs Rockhold and goes mainstream, the BBC will finally recognize UFC as a legitimate sport. They need a mainstream athlete

BBC will never care

And neither will a large % of the UK if Bisping did somehow win the belt

Bisping KOing Rockhold is about as likely as Mighty Mouse KOing Big Country Nelson.

Not even London judges can save Bisping from getting stomped by Rockhold.

You know BBC3 did commentary of the whole event? And have just signed a deal with the UFC to broadcast UFC programming, previews etc.

And then put countless clips and interviews up...

This is why UFC doesn't do big events in UK 3 hometown decision robberies on the main card

lol nobody cares about BBC3

lol nobody cares about BBC3

The point is, you said the BBC did nothing.

When in fact, this was the first event of a new deal where the BBC did preview videos, did live commentary of the whole event interspersed with countless video clips, interviews etc. and so everything UFC related is specifically on their UFC Portal.

There is a small Bisping/Silva link if you scroll down the page you linked. But yeah, this fight didn't get much coverage. After this event I scanned through some other news sites like the Guardian, and found very little. It probably isn't helped by the fact that it wasn't on TV

Nice, Zuffa needs to continue fixing fights across the pond for sure.

Every single one of those people in that arena would sooner have exchanged their tickets for Anthony Joshua's next fight.

BBC 3 commentary isn't exactly at the forefront of modern broadcasting. Hardly anybody uses BBC 3. They could have done a lot more here.
Millions of pounds will get blown this year on poor remakes, awful reality TV crap, and second rate Sherlock scripts. Can't wait for the day when legislation changes and the TV licence is an opt-in thing. I'll opt the hell out.
A live UFC event in London and BBC 3 is all they could offer ? They had an opportunity here to showcase an event that is growing in popularity. Maybe it doesn't fit the BBC remit for mainstream TV ?
The BBC has been an old-fashioned factory so long. Remake, remake, remake. Spark went years ago.....

I wonder if this was held in Brazil if the result would have been the same.

Honestly, I thought the fight was a draw.
