UFC is less exciting now that Conor lost.

is that true? did he think he needed to weigh more than 157 to fight at WW? is that another instance of his poor fight IQ?

I'm thinking we misunderstand something here.
Diaz has fought at WW before, has missed weight at LW and is bigger than McGregor.

This is not debatable.

Conor losing was a letdown....but MMA less exciting? Uhhhhh.......NO! The only reason Im less excited is because there wasn't MMA on last SAT.

We get to see Mir (who I dont think has ever been in boring fight) take on a guy who walk-off-KO'd Roy Nelson.

I don't think your an MMA fan TS, I think your a Conor fan....which is weird that they would be separate.

For $895 you can buy fight used conor underwear. Sniff his ball sweat and get that fire back.

Naw if anything might have made it better maybe he won't be the only thing people talk about anymore since July it's been nothing but conor conor conor every single day it's a good time for Jones to be back in action now :)

He's but one man. Fighters come and go. Torches are passed. NBA, NFL, Boxing are like that. He's not the end all, be all. Pass.

He lost a sports match, but he did not fail. He's rich as fuck. Go for glory.
I'd rather concentrate on making myself wealthy nevermind worry about Anderson Silva's tax bracket. Is it a vicarious thing?

I'm saying that I've read posts here that claimed Conor was trying to add mass quickly to "make 170". He only needed to, technically, weight 157 right?

"It doesn't matter the weight, it doesn't matter the opponent. They're all the same. They're just a body in there that's about to be destroyed." - Conor McGregor (before the Diaz fight)

yeah. I do recall that quote from him. Also, I don't scour the video or the interviews to source what some people claim. It's not terribly important. I just think it would be hilarious if Conor actually thought he needed to be 169 - 171 to fight at WW i.e. gain weight to make weight.

twould tickle the funnies for sure.

Conor and his retarded fans (you) were saying before the fight that he'd smoke Diaz and weight or opponent doesn't matter. Now all of a sudden since shit didn't work out for you, weight matters? He had a full training camp and was training the Lightweight Champion and got curb stomped by the perennial consensus #5 Lightweight who had 10 days to prepare. He had no business in there with RDA and the Diaz fight proved it.

He was also supposedly the same size as GSP beforehand (dear Lord how many times have we seen that pic)...then all of a sudden Nate Diaz became a monster WW who happens to fight at 155 on a regular basis, and isn't even the biggest LW. I wonder if these people will count his win if he beats Edgar (who states he can make 135).

Chalé bro. In other words hell no lol. Maybe for you, but as an MMA enthusiast, MMA is more exciting now that he lost. Hype trains are only made to be derailed.

Conor walks around at that weight so he never really put on any weight. What happened is he just didn't have to cut water weight. He was preparing for a 13ish lbs weight cut but when he hand picked Diaz thinking he'd be completely out of shape, he did himself a favor by not having to cut at all and he STILL fucking gassed out within a round.

that's how I see it too. I really think he has a legit cardio issue to fight at that level. He's only been to round 3 once in his entire career.

Him taking a risk still resulted in him earning millions. Why not take a risk?

homeboy needs to take the Hominick approach to fighting.

He was gassed in the Mendes fight too but luckily for him, Mendes was more gassed because of the short notice. This dude has some serious flaws in his game. As a veteran MMA guru of more than 16 years, I'm completely immune from the hypnosis of any kind of hype train. I've never seen anything extraordinary about Conor McGregor. He's a good fighter, but he's far from great.

I agree. His shortcomings are exposed. He needs to do some work.

I didn't see it in the Mendes fight though. I was impressed with him actually.

no, its gonna be more exciting to watch everybody KO or submitt Conor

He's in the middle of his journey, a champion, and another LW try in the future to inspire all. Didn't mean to make it about money, just meant he did not lose by going for it.

However far he takes his talent in the UFC earning him his due, more power to him. As with any other deserving fighters out there.
