UFC is dying

I can't imagine how they are actually attracting new fans at this point? Poatan was probably the last fighter to get non UFC fans somewhat interested.

It's funny how the UFC thinks its brand (and Dana) alone will attract them new followers.

They aren't. But a new media deal with Netflix putting them daily on the front page of the site would introduce them to a new audience. That's the only shot that they really have for growth at this point. Being locked behind ESPN+ and ESPN+ PPV and almost no bars or clubs showing fights has really diminished the UFC's popularity.

Once they get a new media deal they can promote again like they did during the Fox Sports years or the first year of ESPN. But right now the UFC is almost radio silent promoting itself. Fight Nights pretty much receive zero attention from anyone but fans passively throwing on the cards in the background.

I agree with both points. Like Merab vs O'Malley 2. What are the odds it isn't exactly like the first time they fought.

I guarantee it will be exactly like the first time they fought. I even forgot they fought, and wish I didn't because then I could be excited, but I remember, and I don't need to see it again. The only thing that could get me into this fight is O'Malley getting a haircut that doesn't look so ray.

This is a very low point for sure. A bunch of women fighting lately and a dog shit main event that nobody asked for next week. Luckily we got some monster main events in the coming months.

There will never be another Ronda. It's time to give up on WMMA in the UFC and make it a separate league like the WNBA.

Dana has a foot out the door already.
Even the fights are boring for him.

I'm interesting in hearing why you think this about Dana?

He has continually stated he loves what he's doing and wants to do it until he's 100 etc. Considering he's flying on private jets between events and meetings with a team of people dedicated to crafting his life experience exactly as he wants it, easy to understand why he sticks with it.

There will always be Rizin once the UFC goes out of business, so I'm not worried.

To me, he seems he is less excited about everything than he used to be. He is off doing his boxing, bitch slapping events, and gambling. Not the same level of energy as before.

Plus it has to be boring now. All the excitement in building the company up to see it just kind of coast and not grow or even shrink has to be disheartening.
