UFC is dying

One FC. I've been trying to tell you guys all along.

The fights are crazy good. Muay Thai with 8oz gloves, kickboxing, MMA and even grappling matches on the same card..

The only problem is that the events are held in Thailand usually so it doesn't fit in our schedule but events are streamed live on YouTube or Amazon Prime if you have it.

I’ll add to what you said with KOTS King of the Streets. Their production, although on a much smaller scale, is pretty impressive. The most recent fights I’ve seen remind me of the series Spartacus.

Why are you judging an APEX card in the same way that you would judge a numbered show? Just stop watching any of them except for the numbered ones and you'll be fine.

Not dying but certainly mailing it in these days. Unfortunately, they are still making a lot of money due to the TV deal and will likely get a new deal making even more money, so they will have no incentive to improve.

The last 3 years 2023-2025 (so far) have been by far the worst years in the companies history entertainment wise.

There were obviously still some great cards and fights during those years, but overall the consistent card quality and matchmaking is at an all time low.

Too many cards per year & the roster is way too big.

Tuned in for like 3 min of the Gamrot hump and bounced. There's one plus though, Barber canceling last second was the most exciting thing to happen in women's MMA in years.

I didn’t watch any of that card last night

Tuned in for Jacoby, he did the damn thing as expected. Then 45 seconds of Gamrot doing what he shouldn't do. Started playing Last War and my ear caught the commentary tones of what should have been a boring WMMA fight, and learned the early prelim bout that was set for main event fell apart.

There are still big fights but they are interspersed with so many meh fights because the roster is too big. Fighters also don't fight as often as they used to so maybe the need more filler to have more than one card a month. Last night I can't remember seeing a Goff or Brahimaj fight before and they were in the middle of the main card. Didn't even know who they were. Even right now I couldn't tell you their first names.

There were the same number of cards in 2015-2017. The apex has slowly killed the product. Few new names that can sell
A fight night gate. Add in the fact that fighters in the top 10 are rarely fighting. They are sitting on their rankings and acting like they are getting paid like top boxers. The moment they rewarded Colby for sitting out it seems everybody followed. Hell even belal’s boring ass sat out a yr and got a title shot.

On paper the card looked terrible. But Macy Barber quitting before the fight made it interesting. These are like the x factor variables that you cannot expect.

Right, I'm talking about promoting like he use to do. He's not even hardly doing that, and when he does promote fights it's only half ass. He's absent a lot of the times, dude isn't doing his job.
