Thats the truth they know Aldo can whoop McGregor so they dont wanna take any chance in staining Conors first win.

They may have offered Aldo the short notice fight but they knew very well Aldo was barely cleared to train.

Bottom line is they will do anything to avoid Aldo from this point on.

No one's going to accuse him of ducking Nate, lol. Nate just made him his bitch. And yet Nate is the guy he's fighting. Again.
 
Aldo should just fight Edgar. And if he doesn't want it, give it to Holloway.

Either interim or title shot.

desperation. also, the ufc is always interested in milking fighters when they're hot. the ufc doesn't have faith in conor (or any fighter) as a long-term thing and just wants to capitalize on the big ppv numbers from the first fight

mcgregor has a lot of hard fights ahead of him. he can't fight cans because of how he's hyped himself. he's ducking frankie so he can't hide back down at 155 with the midgets. now he had to fight diaz again which will likely be a loss. ufc wants to make the sure money
 
Funny how Conor fan boys rarely mention a rematch with Aldo.

It would be Cain/Dos Santos II all over again.

Bullshit! RDS in a LW fight that was planned to happen is a much more difficult and the second one the table: Diaz, is also more difficult fight for Conor. I would say that Edgar on the papper is harder for Conor to beat then Aldo, since he can copy the Mendes gameplan with success. In other then that he has better striking then Mendes and he is fast with great cardio.
One of the reasons they will not give him Aldo is because how it ended the first time. And that Aldo refuses to prove him in other ways, like for example taking a fight against Holloway. Aldo most likely can't take Conors power in FW.

Dana wants to bang out Conor like a stolen credit card. If Conor loses at 145, everyone will see that his fighting "big fights" at LW or WW is a scam.

No one is accusing Connor of ducking Nate. Conor is the one calling for the Nate fight.

Nate tapping Conor on 11 day notice justifies a rematch but Aldo losing a fight in 13 seconds doesn't? That kinda stuff is why people are screaming of protectionism by the UFC. The fact that the RDA/Robbie superfight is still on the table is laughable and makes me smh.
 
as a fan of aldo, this is a tough fight for him unless he uses his JITS.
otherwise if the fight stays standing conor can ko aldo, and im sure Aldo would stand with conor.
Aldo gets hit allot, and throughout his career was used to having the reach advantage, when he had to close distance against longer fighters like florian he leaped in instead of using footwork (like frankie someone whos used to being shorter) but got away with that as he has a solid chin, but conor is accurate and calm enough to time aldo leaping in and tilt that chin.
if Aldo uses footwork to get inside and stays planted he could 100 percent take some of those shots but still tough fight.
 
I love me some Aldo but no. It's all about the $$$$$. Diaz vs Conor did great and the UFC is trying to capitalize off the hype before it dies down.

No Mcgregor fan here, but Aldo clearly showed signs of fear of Mcgregor. Aldo has lost a lot of respect from fans. He either has to find a way to change that (which will be hard to do)but, begging for a Fight with Mcgregor now just appears cowardly after turning him down flat (any time any where:), failing to show up for the first Fight scheduled, then getting KO due to stress and fear.
 
Conor KO'd José so handedly a rematch isn't even interesting. The UFC believe the Nate rematch restores Conors reputation pretty assertively which is why they made the fight.
 
Seems like a dumb move to put him in there with Nate right now. Even as far as money goes- it seems like some buildup would help.
