That's a pretty deep group of fighters. Certainly far better than at any point in Ufc history.

Needs Fedor, Brock, Jha, Sapp, and JDS to be top-tier.

Zuffa needs to want to pay the best what they deserve.

It won't get truly better until we're in a place where the HW title is reg. defended.

It has more potential than recent years, that much is true.

As long as the division keeps moving forward I am happy. The HW title picture has been stagnant for the last couple years, for obvious reasons, but things are starting to look bright.

Gonna get more talent when the dehydration ban comes into effect. Well I hope anyway, some big boys at LHW who are just gonna say " fuck it " and move up a weight class.

Cormier should go back to HW after Bones beat him again, Win the HW belt then loss again to Jones when Jones make the jump to HW ;)

almost all those names arent in their prime anymore
on paper looks good but in reality its a shitty division

HW is still the old man division, but they are at least consistently signing new talent. Better than the situation we currently have at LHW.

I prefer most of today's divisions today to the pre-2010 era. However I don't think HW is one of them. I think Cain was better before all the injuries and age, and Cigano was better before the Cain trilogy. And we had Lesnar and Carwin. And everyone was younger. The only good thing is that they're all in the UFC instead of in different promotions.

Werdum vs. Stipe
Rothwell vs. JDS
Reem vs. Browne II
Mir vs. Hunt
Cain vs. Arlovski
Big Country vs. Black Beast
Bigfoot vs. Mitrione

Some are official others just stuff I'd like to see but I think these are great fights for the division.

I think it was deeper when the UFC had the 4 man HW Title Tournament. Couture, Brock, Mir, Nog, Arlovski, Cain, JDS, Carwin, Werdum, etc. But the current division is far behind that. The problem right now is most of the names from those two points in time are the same, and a lot of these guys are shadows of their former selves.

There's definitely still room to grow, but this is the best the division has ever been, I agree. It's helped that the UFC has finally clued into the goldmine of talented fighters in Eastern Europe and Russia.

I know you're joking but Fedor would turn HW into greatness again. Even if he is washed up he can still bring exciting matchs like against Mir, Barnett, Bigfoot, Arlowski, Crocop... Basically put him against any HW and sherdog would explode

Prospect in the HW division are so rare. Denis Smoldarev might be a good one . (25yrs old) 11-1.
Face former bellator HW champ Alexander Volkov friday night in M-1 challenge. would be a very good win for him.
