UFC goat signs with WWE

Dana's not quite as forgiving with his grudges. There was Tito and....I got nothing.
You could argue these weren't all out grudges but he did say these guys would never be in UFC after one thing or the other

Dan Henderson (good luck in Strikeforce. feel free to retire there)
Jeff Barnett (can't believe this guy got popped so many times- he ruined a PPV! He'll never be in UFC again)
Kimbo Slice (doesn't have any real talent, not into freakshows, etc.)

Probably for the best?

Nah really he is one of the best guys there. Being a nice guy isn't a requirement there. Getting people to care is. Just ask Hulk Hogan. Punk is where he belongs.

Big difference compared to Hogan is Punk fails at backstage politics.

Over/Under on how many weeks before Punk loses a backstage fight and goes to 0 - 3 under the Hickson Gracie recording keeping system?

Punk might be one of the most insecure Wrestlers of all time - which is saying a boatload as Wrestlers are famous for thier insecurities. You'd hope a guy in his mid forties would be beyond feeling the need to prove they are a tough guy.

Strange industry, strange guy. I'm still a fan though... goddammit.

Punk tried starting a fight with Luke Perry's 140 pound kid.

He must have been torn between the choice of his return to the WWE or the UFC. It must have simply came down to the money.

Man, I've never understood how that guy is so popular. I don't know if he still does it, but he used to do the Wanderlei fist roll before matches and it would annoy the piss out of me. Plus, with his Pepsi and G.I. Joe tattoos, I have just always thought he was lame; to top it off, he is apparently a douche.

He's a legend of the sport. A sure fire GOAT contender.

Joking aside I really do like Punk...as a professional wrestler, and I said it was a giant mistake to bring him in.

A guy at his age with no major competitive background in any of the most proven skillsets is almost certainly going to get mauled and embarrass everyone.

If he succeeds in a major way then that is a humiliation for the sport and every guy that has put in the effort to get into the UFC. It sends the message that MMA is second rate and just about anyone can walk right in and start beating what was considered the best guys in the world.

Either way it's not a good look. I guess if they felt the need to do a cash grab it was best to put him with the Mickey Gall and Mike Jacksons of the world but I would have rather that they not bring the subject up at all.

didn't do shit in mma, his ego was too big and got released by AEW and now he went back to WWE.

Bear in mind creative isn't done by Vinny Mac and the deal was approved by Nick Khan, so he's back to WWe for money.

Pro wrestling...lmao. Wasteland this shit. Or whatever the equivalent forum for this bullshit for sexually confused pre-teens is.

Big difference compared to Hogan is Punk fails at backstage politics.
Yes but the big similarity is the abilty to get people care and talk about them.

Punk as big underdog in backstage politics as he was in mma fights. Agreed.

After an incredible UFC run, CM Punk has decided to return to his roots of professional wrestling. Sad day for all of us fans of true MMA.

Thought Artem Lobov had joined WWE then. Might actually make me watch it him trying to bodyslam people with his T Rex arms.
