till only landed more leg kicks. but it wasn't like shogun vs machida style where shogun was kicking through the whole fight. also wonderboy through more strikes overall didn't he? so how is that not counted as being more " aggressive " ?

They were “defensive” strikes. Not strikes to do anything other than keep Till away from him.

There are some conflicting stats on this fight. Fightmetric seems to have low balled the numbers compared to other stat trackers.

They were still damaging and landed clean tho. He was punishing aggressiveness with effective strikes.

But who scored the most significant strike of the night?

defensive strikes aren't meant to hit your opponent and potential hurt them? Defense strikes is a category????

If you know anything about striking you’ll have heard of such a thing as feints, set ups and fakes. The majority of Wonderboy strikes were meant to establish distance and positioning more than anything. He had a few bursts of real strikes with hear behind him.

WB's legs were black and blue by the fifth round. Fucked up his knee as well.

yeaa...... I know that but I was replying to this ---- "They were “defensive” strikes. Not strikes to do anything other than keep Till away from him."

That’s why the word “defensive” is in quotes. Wonderboy’s strikes weren’t out of aggression so much as they were to keep Darren out of range and position, so as to keep him from landing.

It shouldn’t count as aggression. Octagon control? Sure.
