someone explain me nasci 30-27 scorecard

nasci blocked punches with his face for the first 3 minutes of the second round then nasci got the TD, laid on top of him for 2 minutes no damage and won the round?

I think because he had some top control that round. I don't even think that judge was paying any attention.

This is that point in the evening where alcohol and bets start to drive opinions. The 30-27 was wrong because Boser won round 2. 29-28 was the correct scorecard.

Nascimento was outworked by Boser on the bottom in the 3rd. All hope was lost when I heard Byrd's name. She's way too stupid to notice anything like that. Fuck.

Meh, I don't think you can give Boser the third based on the meaningless pitter patter punches off his back and the rush of the last 30 seconds where he didn't land anything significant. I get what you're saying because Nascimento did absolutely nothing with his top position, but to score from the bottom in MMA you have to land some sort of SIGNIFICANT strikes, not just tap the guys rib cage with "punches" that come from 2 inches away.

Good example was Felder vs Barbosa. Felder opened up Edson with an elbow off his back, it was the most significant thing that happened with him on the mat so giving him that round to me would be fine. But with one guy laying on another and neither doing anything meaningful (even if the bottom guy is "busier"), the guy who got the TD and top control wins.

Just my two cents.

Nascimento landed some good shots on the feet himself both rounds 2 and 3, that's what edged him for me when also considering the ground control.

ok but you cant lay on your back for like 8 minutes and win a fight. Takedowns should score points too.
Not when you just lay on top and do nothing.

2022 is when judges are supposed to favor damage over control. Certain judges still don't give a fuck, while others are judging correctly. It's what makes betting MMA so difficult.

But Boser did zero damage in rd 3 either. His "punches" (and I'm being generous) off his back were meaningless. Top control counts far less than damage for sure, IF there's damage. There wasn't any either way. So then you have to give it to the guy who's in control.

Hoping Amendovski/Pyfer goes into the 2nd, but ends in a stoppage

I don't think Amedovski needs to be in the UFC anymore...

They were more than what Nascimento did on top though.

high ground control is one of the many things i look at for methods of wins.

30 -27 is not good but i think the rightful guy one, if khabib wins fights like that , no one says otherwise.
