#11 Renato Moicano vs #15 Paddy Pimblett - That is 4 in a row for Moicano, and he is looking better every fight and is promoting himself very well. Win or lose, I had this fight happening one way or another, and I mean regardless of what I think, It's what Moicano wants as well and so does Paddy. Paddy said that he more than likely will fight early next year and it makes sense for Moicano to do the same, this fight on a PPV main card makes all the sense in the world as it adds a ton of value and makes for an entertaining presser.
#12 Benoît Saint Denis vs Joel Alvarez - One thing is clear, the UFC loves BSD win or lose, but now seeing how this is 2 fights in a row where he has lost and taken tons of damage, he now has to defend that beautiful ranking that so many fighters outside the rankings desperately want. Joel Alvarez is up next in terms of getting a next fight, and I think this one is the next fight to make next year, Joel is quite inactive so I think when both fighters are completely 100 percent healthy, run this fight on a PPV Main Card as it will include violence.
#4 Nassourdine Imavov vs #5 Caio Borralho - Let me just say this, the UFC 185 Division is in such a weird spot. You have Dana saying Strickland is next... Ok that's fine, but then you have him saying the winner of Whittaker and Khamzat will fight after Strickland, which will probably be Summer of 2025 or even later, and then you have all these other contenders such as Imavov and Borralho and others, and you have Izzy still hanging around. Regardless throughout this entire matchmaking madness, I think you kind of have to make this fight as a 5 Rounder Fight Night Main Event next year around February-March and then maybe... maybe... the UFC can finally say that either Imavov or Caio are up next for a Title....
#8 Brendan Allen vs Winner of #14 Pereira vs #13 Hernandez - Allen looked great in the first round by getting a takedown early and controlling Imavov the entire round, but as soon as Imavov stopped the first takedown of Round 2, it seemed to be over from there as Allen just fell apart. Allen is 28 turning 29 later this year so he still has a ton of time to improve but he has to fight someone who deserves a big step up in terms of ranking and the winner of Pereira and Fluffy Hernandez will surely deserve that.
William Gomis vs #15 Edson Barboza - I'm gonna be honest here... I'm not sure if Gomis deserves a ranked opponent but he is now 4-0 in the UFC and this is a pretty huge win for him in his career. Edson is 38 about to be 39 in January and he really only has about a fight or two left in him, and I think it's better to match him against a Kickboxer in a fight where we could possible see Edson retire after if he loses. This is a favorable matchup for both men and a fun one to see both of them in and I rather see Edson in a standup affair rather than him getting held down the entire fight to end his career.
Joanderson Brito vs Kyle Nelson - Very tough but very interesting loss for Brito, I won't talk about the Scorecards because that's an entirely different conversation but Brito was supposed to fight #14 Dan Ige in July but had to pull out, then got rescheduled in Paris against Gomis, then now lost this one by split decision. He's still super young and not to many people know that Brito actually beat Diego Lopes on the Contender Series and is 5-2 in the UFC now after this loss. I think him against Kyle Nelson makes all the sense in the world.
Bryan Battle vs #15 Neil Magny - Congrats to Bryan Battle! He is 6-1-1 in the UFC and 5 of those wins are by finish, I think that is time for a ranked opponent and who better than Neil Magny. Magny just lost recently in August so him and Battle are on pretty similar timelines and it seems every time Bryan Battle gets on the Microphone, he shows how promotable he can be. I can't wait to see how Bryan Battle does in the rankings.
Kevin Jousset vs Charles Radtke - It's never good to lose but I guess it makes it even worse when you lose in your home country. Jousset looked good early on landing very clean shots but man Bryan Battle just kept coming forward and did not care what was landing on him which finally took a toll on Jousset late 2nd round where he lost. He is now 2-1 and Radtke is also 2-1 and just suffered his first UFC loss earlier this year. Rebound fight for both men and actually a fun one.
Morgan Charriere vs Damon Jackson - Great win for Charriere, although it was a bit of a layup, nonetheless he is now 2-1 in the UFC and both wins are by KO and his one loss is by split decision to Mariscal. I would like to see a step-up but favorable matchup for Charriere, like against someone like Damon Jackson who is a veteran and is a tricky test for any prospect. Damon Jackson just had a pretty bad beatdown about a month ago against Chepe Mariscal funnily enough so a fight like this in the 1st quarter of 2025 makes sense.
Gabriel Miranda vs Lucas Alexander - Betting odds would assume Miranda's chances at winning this fight were very slim, he is now 1-2 in the UFC and I think this sets him up for a loser leaves town match with Lucas Alexander who is also 1-2, Alexander has shown some potential, could be interesting.
Fares Ziam vs Nasrat Haqparast - Fares Ziam..... you are insane! Ziam looked amazing tonight, the best he has ever looked in his career and is now on a 4 fight winning streak. He called for a ranked opponent but the problem is that their is to many up and comers right now outside of the Top 15 who are also pushing for the same thing. Nasrat is currently on a 4 fight winning streak as well and has looked impressive, both men deserve a ranked opponent but this one will give us a definite winner and deserved ranking's fight. Could even see this being a Main Card of a weaker PPV, it's that good of a fight.
Matt Frevola vs Thiago Moises - Wow.... that sucks for Frevola to say the least. Thats 2 back to back brutal knockout loses that he has now suffered, once in the rankings now on a 2 fight losing streak, he really needs a win badly. Someone who is quite similar in the aspect of previously being in the rankings and recently coming off a beat down is Thiago Moises, both men need considerable time off and both men need a bounce back win in their next fight, let's see this next year.
Ion Cutelaba vs Magomed Gadzhiyasulov - Much needed win for Cutelaba at this point in his career, it seems the UFC will continue to give him the up and comers and I think Gadzhiyasulov is next. Magomed just recently fought in August and won his fight by Majority decision and it wasn't the most impressive debut, so Ion can be a serious test for him. If the winner wins impressivly, we could even see a ranked opponent next for either man.
Ivan Erslan vs Jimmy Crute - Not an easy debut matchup in Cutelaba, even appeared to suffer a leg/knee injury because after he was wobbling to a center of the cage. He's going to need some time off without a doubt, Jimmy Crute is also taking some time off from his last loss last July and said he will come back when he finds the Love for the Sport again. I think Crute will come back next year when they return to Austrilia and when he left he was 0-3-1 in his last 4. This could be a great fight for Crute to come back to and also a chance for Ivan to rewrite his debut.
Oumar Sy vs The Winner of Ryan Spann vs Ovince Saint Preux - Pretty decent performance for Sy but I do question a bit of his stuff in terms of skillset. Like I said before the 205 division is lacking outside the Top 15 so 1 more win for Sy and he can easily pull a ranked opponent but first I think one more test should be fine. Ryan Spann is facing OSP at UFC 307 next week and the winner should face Sy, winner gets ranked opposition without a doubt.
Da Woon Jung vs Kevin Christian (DWCS) - That is now 4-4-1 for UFC's Da Woon Jung, and he is now on a 4 fight losing streak, one could say just to cut him but knowing how badly the 205 division is lacking in terms of depth, I think the UFC will give him 1 more fight.
Ludovit Klein vs #14 Jalin Turner - Does Klein deserve a ranked opponent...? Yes.... does he deserve one after that performance.... Not really. It wasn't impressive at all tonight for Klein but he does indeed deserve a ranked opponent and I think if you are Jalin Turner watching this fight, you see how much Klein struggled with the taller opponent in Roberts and you see that and your team has to be interested in a matchup like this knowing you can probably stop an up and coming prospect from reaching the rankings.
Roosevelt Roberts vs Tom Nolan - Roberts stepped in twice as a short notice opponent against Top 25 Caliber fighters and it's clear that he won't be anything crazy at age 30, but he can no doubt test some of these young guns. It would be in the UFC's best interest to keep Roberts around for about 1-2 more fights seeing as how he did tonight. Him against Australian prospect Tom Nolan is a perfect fight to make to see if Nolan can get onto that next level of competition.
Taylor Lapilus vs Chris Gutierrez - Good win for Lapilus, that now puts him at 6-2 in the UFC and 3-1 in his last 4 since his UFC return. I think he needs 1 more test to see if he is truly ready for a rankings shot. Him against Chris Gutierrez makes all the sense in the world for me. Both Lapilus and Gutierrez are 2 very technically sound fighters who take their time to find openings. It may not be the best of fights in terms of entertainment but it's a test for both men that I would like to see without a doubt.
Vince Morales vs Douglas Silva de Andrade - Well Vince Morales's return to the UFC wasn't what he wanted but lets look at it further, he is almost 34 years of age and got 5 wins in a row on the regional scene to get back into the promotion after getting released and took this on short notice. When he left he was fighting names like Jonathan Martinez and Song Yadong and many others, so I think a fight with Silva De Andrade makes all the sense in the world, 2 vets who are going to put on a fun show infront of the fans.
#15 Ailin Perez vs #12 Julia Avila - Amazing win for Perez, she comes out and gets her first finish in the UFC by first round arm triangle. She is becoming a pretty well known name in this 135 division. She did miss weight by .5 LBs for this fight but still made the effort to come out and fight still after looking rough on the scales. I think she deserves a bit of a step up in the rankings and that should be Avila who is looking to come back early next year.
Dariya Zheleznyakova vs Nora Cornolle - Tough loss for both woman tonight, just makes sense to run this fight as they will be on similar timelines and both would want to get a win back after tonight.
Daniel Barez vs Edgar Chairez - Despite being almost 36 years of age, Barez is so fun to watch. He came in here after a pretty long layoff and dropped Altamirano twice. I think the UFC can't mess this up and should only put him against fights where we know it's going to be a guaranteed barn burner and him against Edgar Chairez would be absolutely amazing to watch. I know Dana has said they want to go to Spain soon, and we could very well see this fight on that same card.
Victor Altamirano vs Stewart Nicoll - Victor takes the L on the scorecards and is now on a 3 fight losing streak and drops to 2-4 in the UFC and also is 33 years old in the Flyweight division, so he isn't a young prospect by any means but he is 1 thing, entertaining. I would love to see the UFC give him at least 1 more fight to see if he can stay within the promotion and I think Stewart Nicoll is a good fight as he tries to get his first win in the UFC.
Jacqueline Cavalcanti vs #14 Germaine de Randamie - Great performance by Cavalcanti, who is now 3-0 in the UFC and took this fight on short notice as she just fought a month ago. At only age 27, it seems she can be something to look forward to in this 135 division, which is something we desperately need right now. GDR was supposed to fight Nora Cornolle but had to pull out of it because of an injury, the only right move is to do Cavalcanti against GDR when they are both healthy and ready to go.
Chris Duncan vs Trey Ogden - Great win for Chris Duncan tonight, he is now 3-1 in the UFC and just got his first finish inside the Octagon under the promotion. He still needs to improve on a good amount but I would love to see him against Trey Ogden who is an amazing Jiu-Jitsu specialist who is 3-2 within the UFC and needs a bit of a step up. Winner of this fight takes a pretty big leap in my opinion.
Bolaji Oki vs Nikolas Motta - Tough loss for Oki tonight, had his head stuck in a Guillotine and most of us thought he got out of it when his head popped out... well I mean he did but he was unconscious when he did so. Nonetheless he is 1-1 in the UFC and I think him against Motta should suffice. Motta was supposed to fight on this card but had to pull out, Oki didn't take to much damage, so let's see this early next year.
